"Alright guys lets do this!" i said excitedly.

Im surprisingly excited for this. Shane and Mich just finished laying out the salt boundry and now all that remains is luring in the zombies.

We didnt know how many zombies there were exactly so we made the boundry relatively large.

"Yea time for the fun part." Kenzie said stretching her arms and cracking her neck before pulling out her gun and standing in the center of the boundry.

She turned to me. "Ready?" she asked.

I nodded holding my spell book open to the page of the dead repealing barrior.

Kenzie raised her gun to the sky and all too excitedly began firing shots in the air like a maniac and bouncing around in a circle like an excited child. The sound bounced around the forest scaring off animals but luring in the undead.

Shane and Mich rushed back to hide in the brush.

Now all we have to do is wait for the undead to arrive.

At some point Kenzie ran out of bullets in her gun and switched to her back up but it wasnt until ten minutes later that we saw the first few zombies come tumbling out of the trees.

"Oh theyre here!" Kenzie said then quickly ran to the tree a few yards away and climbed it.

The tree was inside the boundry and since zombies cant climb Kenzie should be fine on a stridy branch while distracting them.

the guys and i remained hidden in the brush outside the boundry and were careful not to make a sound as more zombies then we thought piled into the clearing.

they instantly went to the tree seeing Kenzie as their only item of food. But being up in a tree made things a little difficult.

We waited a whole fifteen minutes then i recieved the ok telepathicly from Mich to put up the barrior.

"Derogamus et mortuorum negent soulless scuto Acenta." i whispered sternly, letting the magic slip into my tone, and felt a piercing pain in my chest.

I gasped and clenched my fist over the pain in the center and waited for it to fade.

The bushes russled as Shane jumped out to provoke the zombies away from Kenzie and to test the barrior.

He raised one gun in each hand at the band of zombies incase the barrior failed.

The zombies growled and shuved each other as they tried to get to Shane only to smack into the wall of the barrier.

I jumped up ignoring the pain in my chest. "We did it!" i exclaimed excitedly.

Kenzie lept out of the tree and bolted into the brush outside of the barrior.

"Success!" she cried once safe.

"Good job guys." Mich congratulated. "Now we just need to track down Helms."

"Well we have this." i said pulling out the paper with the address on it.

"True but now what?" he asked.

"We go to that place bust in and go all psycho gangsta on 'em!" Kenzie exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes. "Excilent plan."

"What would you expect from a genius?"

"No comment." Shane said and Kenzie smacked his arm.

"Alright guys serious time now." Mich said.

"Can we go inside? Theyre very annoying." i said referring to the continuous snarls and noises of frustration from the zombies.

"Lets." he said and we all walked toward the pack house. "Now its time to be serious guys. Helms is a pretty formitable opponient. He has an army of maneating monsters at his disposal plus god knows what else hes created and since hes a few hundred years old, his vampire abilities are stronger then other vampires."

i stopped walking as they continued and blinked. i never really thought of the power Helms has. . .Maybe we cant beat him. . .

I looked down and lost myself in thought. Helms was a formitable opponient last time i fought him and it was honestly just dumb luck that id been able to kill him.

Hes hundreds of years old and he has an army of creatures created just for killing.

Why am i dragging my team into this? Its me that hes after. His first plan was probably to make me suffer with guilt and grief after hed killed both the Haven and Harthwood pack then kill me as id killed him but when hed found out about my curse then he decided to instead humiliate me.

He was all too happy and calm for someone who was being hunted down. He clearly has some plan. . .no. I wont bring them into this even if it is our mission.

I looked down at the paper with the address on it.

Ill end this.

I gave my team one last look then turned and hurried to the van.

Helms' exsistance is my fault. If id done my job like i was supposed to then none of this would be happening.

Helms wants revenge on me for killing him. not the Haven or Harthwood pack or even my team. Me. And i cant let them all pay for it.

i opened the door to the van and climbed in the drivers seat.

He wants me, fine. Ill even go straight to him but my friends stay out of it.

Its time to end this once and for all.
