"I love you." Frodo uttered in his sleep. He felt someone gently shake him on the right shoulder. It was Sam.

"Mr. Frodo? Mr. Frodo?"

"Aye, I understand, Mr. Frodo. It was hard for you to let her go. I know you miss her. I miss her, too. I can still remember the way she smiled at you, the way she looked at you. I remember how you used to hold her in your arms and you told her that you loved her. You are a very good father, Mr. Frodo. You are her hero."

Frodo sighed and buried his head in his hands.

"I was a good father."

"What do you mean, Mr. Frodo?" Said Sam, in bewilderment.

"I've always wanted to be there for her." Frodo replied.

" I feel like....I feel like...like I betrayed her. I abandoned her, Sam. It was just....I didn't want her to get hurt."

Sam placed a comforting hand on Frodo's shoulder and smiled at him with an optimistic glimmer in his eyes.

"That's not true, Mr. Frodo. You didn't betray her. You did the right thing. At least Merry and Pippin are looking out for her. They're going to make sure that she's safe."

Frodo's eyes turned dark blue. "You're right, Sam. At least she isn't alone."

"You know what, Mr. Frodo?" Said Sam.

 Frodo?" Said Sam

"Oh, Sam." said Frodo, melancholy. "What am I going to do with out her?"

"She's going to be alright. I promise. We just have to be strong for her."

"I will try." Said Frodo. "I'll try."
