Thomas' POV:

"Ty don't forget about the party later. Paul just texted me Kai changed the location to a beach." He didn't look up at me. "Ty, come on, what's the matter? Lets turn that frown upside down we get to go to a college students party isn't that cool?"

He turned to me red faced and whispered in a harsh tone "Are you cheating on me with Pollux?"

I tilted my head and sat down on his bed next to him. He buries his face deep into his hands. "Ty, I'm not ... W--I'm not like that. We haven't and won't kiss. The most romantic thing we've done was watch a movie about a horse with great eyebrows while eating cereal."

He glared at me his face still burning with rage. "Why should I believe that? You almost cheated on Steven with me. Obviously, the temptation is there"

I let out a small shocked laugh. "What is your problem? I didn't cheat on you. I didn't cheat on Steven even though you tried to get me to. For god sake Harold gives me more space than you do." Harold has been at home using his last few years to rest. I stood up to walk off when he grabbed my wrist sternly. "Ow, Ty, that really, ah, hurts"

A look of horror flashed across his face. He let go and turned away form me. "Thomas, you know I love you. I have since the day we met. I will never stop loving you. I just want to protect what is rightfully mine."

I could stop myself from going off on him, but not after that statement. "OH, 'rightfully yours' now what exactly is that supposed to mean? HM? Oh so you own me now?" He opened his mouth he had something to say "SAVE IT! When you figure out how ... how just ugh that was I'll be at the party with Mandy so you may not want to show your face"

With that I was gone. I sprinted to my cabin in tears. All my animals scattered. Nobody wants to be in the way of someone who is sobbing. I flopped onto my couch and lay there crying. I don't know how long I was there but it must have been at least an hour because Mandy walked in wearing a pair of black shorts and a teal tank-top. She walked straight into the kitchen. "Thomas, I know your bawling your eyes out and we can deal with that in just a moment once I figure out the cookie situation. Do you have my favorites those pink frosted ones?"

I adjusted my position on the couch so I could see myself in the mirror. I still need to change for the party. I have my outfit set out a pair of light blue swim trunks and a grey tank-top that reads 'the sun is the devil'. Mandy flips me off the couch holding a container of her precious pink frosted cookies. "So what's up?"

 "So what's up?"

Once I told her what Ty did she nearly flipped my cabin. Lucky for me Kai wanted us to show up to the party early for 'reasons'.  Her hair had lifted my cabin at least three inches. "I remember how Kai and Paul met. Wasn't super romantic but it was the beginning."

When you turn 12 the school sends you to shadow your future job. I had been working at my vet hospital for all of a week when Kai bursts in his Curly brown hair bobbing as he cried. He was holding a squirrel. He was practicing actually attacking with his power. He can manipulate energy and matter. One of the teachers had him converting flowers into energy flower blades. He accidentally hit the poor things tail. The squirrel was perfectly fine just needed a bandage. That's when Paul walked in. He is  gangly guy with wavy, tan hair. He was stone faced "I heard someone crying. Is everything okay in here?"

Kai immediately collapsed onto him repeating everything that had happened in the last hour. Paul hugged him lightly patting his back still emotionless. They talked and talked while I sat there holding a squirrel. When Kai stopped crying he looked Paul in the eye. "I think I should thank you. The best way I can think is maybe I take you to lunch. Maybe tomorrow around three o'clock."

Whenever I see the two of them I always remember that. So now seeing the two of them still together 5 years later is amazing. As Mandy and I walk up I suddenly hear squealing "Mandy-Pandy-Poo I have missed you so much. How does it feel to almost be a high school graduate?"

Mandy ran up and latched on to him they stood there hugging for a solid minute before they started tickling each other. "Kai-Bug, I can't believe it next year I'll be a college freshman and you'll be a sophomore. We may actually have classes together again!"

I walked up to Paul and stood next to him. He had a small smile on his face watching Kai giggle and dance. The two of them continued to talk and reminisce. After a moment Kai looked at me "Oh that's right. Thomas, Mandy, I actually invited you two here for a reason I need your help setting up the party I have all the supplies and Ideas of how to do things but I don't know if they'll all fit together that's why I need your artistic abilities Mandy and Thomas I like the way you think."

A student teleported us to a small island in the middle of the ocean. We spent hours setting up. When we finally finished Kai looked around. "hmm, Paul sweety I think its time to make a map." Paul walked over to Kai's side. Kai drew a small circle in the air leaving a pink line behind. He dotted it. "Eye think its high time we get a good view of this place."

He pointed his hand up and firing off like a cannon the poorly drawn eye flew into the sky. It slowed to a stop and burst outward like a firework. It came back and shrank into a tiny speck. It fell into his hand. Kai then lightly placed the dot on his forehead. That's when I noticed Paul drawing on a piece of paper at an extremely high speed. Mandy turned to me. "Oh that's right you've never seen them do this. Kai manipulates the energy in the air to act like an eye and then he sees everything. Problem is he has no sense of direction." Mandy winked at me. "That's where Paul comes in he reads minds but he can only read the minds of people who think in pictures like Kai but not like Steven. He also has super art powers but the school doesn't care about that unless the two of them are together, which they always are."

With the map made and the decorating done all that's left was making food. I recruited some of the local animals to find me fruits and nuts in the area, Mandy and Paul handled meats, and Kai handled all the guests. Once everyone had eaten the party actually started. Everyone danced, swam, and played games. Our school loves sports because it's way more interesting with superpowers. Have you ever seen a game of volleyball where when you miss the ball the sand below actually gets turned to glass? I have.

Eventually the sun went down and we set up torches. Kai and Paul stood at the epicenter. "Now as may of you know Paul and I have been together for many years now and they have been some of the happiest of our lives. That's why I actually wanted to throw this party because I think the best way to show how amazing this time has been for me is to let you guys have a great time then tell you all to imagine this entire party then multiply that by one-million everyday for five years. Paul that is the only way to describe how you make me feel." Kai wiped tears from his eyes. "That is I think here in front of all of our friends is the perfect time to--"

Kai got down on one knee and Paul did the same. Kai looked at him confused. "Kai, will you marry me?" both of them pulled out little ring boxes "don't worry I'm taking the little speech there and you being on one knee as a yes." Kai tackled him. They hugged each other tightly as the crowd cheered. "You don't even use words anymore do you?"
