Thomas' POV:
Pollux keeps appearing in my dreams and trying to talk to me. He always starts out polite and quiet then goo starts to appear and everything about his demeanor changes. He shifts from keeping his head down and holding onto his arm at the elbow to standing tall staring me in the eye. His arms often crossed with his hands balled into fists. Each time he tells me soon my only choice will be yes. I've gotten quite sick of it. So I decided to do finally some research to maybe help me get rid of him.
The door to the student info facility was locked. A little schmoozing with the security officer and I was in. I know what you're thing and no I did not have to use my powers to schmooze. I just found my favorite guard and bugged him for 15 minutes or so until he gave in. The records room is a mess. I mean there's crappy organization for the file cabinets. They are literally just randomly placed in the room. Lucky for me they are all organized by last name, unlucky I don't know Pollux's last name. I start going through the first cabinet. There's Schnell, Ty. I guess I'm at the end. Suddenly the door slams shut behind me. "I know what you're hear for, boy." I turn around to see Dr. Batfry holding two files. He pushes them into my hands. "I don't they'll be as helpful as me in this situation."
We sat down on the floor. His eyes were flat. "Pollux is my son." Really? "Yes and he isn't the only one I had they were originally twins Castor and Pollux both the stars of Gemini. The three of us moved here five years ago. Castor was a brash child while Pastor was more reserved. I loved them immensely Pollux reminded me so much of his late mother. Well one day Castor hurt himself badly. We brought him to the hospital on campus but he wasn't going to make it so Pollux offered to share his body. Castor is the one who has all the mind powers. I know I told you it was Pollux who had the power but his power was more a bit of an anomaly in our family. He could manipulate water which is amazing but since everyone else can use their souls to communicate he soon felt like the black sheep."
He leaned back and looked at the ceiling. "I miss my boys. You remind me a bit of them both sometimes. You have the patience of Pollux and the bullheadedness of Castor. I'm glad that we met but I don't think I can help you anymore from here."
He refused to look at me. "Doctor, what do you mean? You know I don't like vague statements like that. Doctor, sir, that statement could mean a lot of bad things why can't you help me?"
He didn't answer instead he stood up and walked out. I never saw him again after that. They refused to release what happened to the school. I have to tell Pollux what happened to his dad tonight. I hope it doesn't crush him. I crawl into bed lightly. Then I hear whispering outside my window. The trees are describing the doctors demise in gruesome detail. When my pets heard my crying they came running. That's how I ended up here in my bed buried under a dog pile animals trying to fall asleep.
When I finally fall asleep I wake up in the cushy bed again. Pollux looks away from the TV to smile at me. "Well good morning sweet-heart. Hmm, you just woke up why the long face already?"
His eyes are soft and compassionate. "Pollux, your father he ... well ... Today he told me about what happened to you and Castor. Then after he finished he, I don't know how to put this, he took his own life. I'm very sorry" Tears welled up in his eyes but he didn't cry "Come here, let it out"
I pull him close to me. At first he seemed more shocked then he just started bawling more intensely than anyone else I've ever seen. This was for more than his father. This was years upon years of pent up crying. I could feel my shirt grow wet. He sat up and wiped the last of his tears "I'm sorry about that I really miss my dad. I wish I could have seen him just one more time." The ooze started to come out of his hand. "Y-you know what, n-no" his voice shook "Castor I want to talk to him for a while if you really want to talk to him you can use your bleh for your own body."
The Ooze stopped coming out of his hand instead coming out of the bathroom sink forming a body that looked exactly like Pollux. Pollux hid behind me whispering about all his regrets. "Castor, I assume?" He crossed his arms and nodded. "So did you hear about your dad or do just not care 'cuz you are giving off a strong I do not care kinda vibe"
Castor rolled his eyes at me. "Thomas" his voice was the one that was smooth as hell but still intimidating as hell "I have been patient enough I demand an answer now."
I can't act afraid I have to protect Pollux "you want a good answer right?" He rolled his eyes but nodded "then you have to wait until I've weighed all the benefits and drawbacks. I'd be leaving behind everyone I've ever known and loved to feel safe. That isn't just an easy thing to do."
He walked out of the room. Pollux came out from behind me. I could see how afraid he was in his eyes. We hugged and just sat there like that for a while. When we separated we were both feeling better "So Pollux tell me about yourself. Do you have any hobbies?"
Pollux turned bright red. "Funny that you ask that. I don't um usually have control of the body so I don't have much time for hobbies or anything in reality. Castor only lets me take control of the body to make sure we still look nice. I have to do our eyebrows, shave, and everything else to keep the body 'charmingly handsome'. That's the only time I get control of our body. I honestly don't remember what it's like to do almost anything. It's been about four years since I've done anything except grooming."
He smiled but I could tell he wasn't happy. I smiled at him "well you do a wonderful job of it. You two both look amazing I mean your eyebrows rival Spirit the horse." He furrowed his brows "you haven't seen Spirit, oh you poor baby."
He laughed an airy giggle that sounded like true joy. "So I'm guess we are gonna watch spirit tonight then" We laid down in bed cuddling up close. The TV changed to the first seen of the movie. As we watched he came to the realization "Oh he does have good eyebrows."
