Thomas' POV:

Ty called me. I shouldn't have answered it after that. I'm a smart person so I answered the call as politely as I always do. Hearing his voice was comforting. "Thomas, I know what I did last time we saw each other was unacceptable. Well, um, my mother sent a new recipe that I thought you would enjoy.  I was hoping I could make it up to you by cooking you something. Would you be willing to meet with me?"

I smiled. He was a good cook. He only used recipes he got from his mother and his sister back home. They were constantly sending letters back and forth. Its kinda cute. His mother is an excellent cook, his sister could use some work but her cooking was nice enough."Fine, but I want lots of food and some flowers. Then you will be back in my, well, not my good graces but my decent graces."

He squealed and I could hear him open and close a door. "Okay how does eight O'clock sound? I'm gonna run out and pick up some ingredients. I can't wait to see you."

I nodded lightly. "goodbye Ty. I'll see you later."

Later that night in his apartment I sat across from him at his table. He wore his usual charming smile with his wonderful blue eyes shone at me. I want him back he always treated me so well. I mean excluding what happened last time but otherwise. I could see that he still loved me. I just wish ... I just wish he would apologize and tell me it'll never happen again then he'll never hurt me again, right? "Thomas about the incident I-- I feel so horrible words can't even describe how bad it makes me feel with words. So I just want to apologize. I know you may still be mad, I know you may never want to see me again, and I know you may hate me." He let out a light sob as he wiped away his tears "I just want to see you smile one more time and tell you how sorry I am. You were so innocent and kind yet the only thing I gave you was pain and misery."

Here we go the guilt trip. I'm going to fall for it. I know myself all to well. I look down at the table. He had a simple, grey table. There were marks all over from where people hadn't used coasters. "Ty ... you have given me a lot of good memories and you know what I want to make some more ... I want to make some more with you whether that be as friends or more is up to you are you willing to promise to never ever put your hands on me out of frustration again?"

He smiled and wiped away a last tear. A small beep went off in the kitchen. "I promise, Thomas I so promise, I'll be right back I think that's the vegan Mac' N Cheese. I should grab that I'll be right back with your plate. I promise I won't keep you waiting."

He always loved the challenge of cooking for me. I'm mostly vegan, I'll still have the occasional dairy product, but I try not to. That's part of why I love that little mom and pop bakery they are entirely vegan and delicious. The problem with vegan food is that so much of it is trying to be meat that it gets frustrating trying to eat anything and not remember some of the conversations I've had with various livestock. I look back to the table this pattern of circles reminds me of a cow I met named Belinda and over there is Henrietta the pig. The small circles seem to be a ring around the table with a few out of place ones that form random things. Its kinda like clouds. Without warning a plate of food slides in front of me. It looks good ... I guess. I'm not gonna complain about it's blob-ish appearance or it's unappetizing white/yellow coloration, instead down the hatch.

I take my fork and lightly prod it. I try to pull just one noodle to my mouth but the cheese sauce is so thick I bring up half of my plate. I take a small bite. With that one bite it sealed the deal that we're going out to eat. I set my fork down and look him in the eye. He's gonna be heartbroken. "I'm sorry Ty but that isn't good. You know I care for you deeply and that will never change but that is a--" I cut myself off before I say something rude "well that is a no from me. Maybe we try the new restaurant their opening up in district 5 I've heard its wonderful."

He nods taking the plate away from me and setting a bouquet of flowers in front of me. It's a bouquet of pink hydrangeas. "I remember you told me that those were your favorite flowers. You said they reminded you of a long time ago. You still have yet to explain that statement."

It's kind of a long story. Do I want to tell him tonight? No it'll ruin the evening. Although, I haven't told a lot of people maybe its time I finally tell them. I should invite over Kai, Mandy, and Ty to tell them the story of how I became me. They all know how I ended up here but they don't know what happened after until they actually met me. "You know what I'll tell you tomorrow. My place five O'clock. Bring food it won't just be you."

He shrugged. I stood up and grabbed him a jacket out of his room. For some reason food tastes so much better when someone else is paying for your stuff. Ty makes good money as a sniper. The school pays him bank purely to practice shooting and try out new, experimental guns. Perk number one of dating Ty, you will never have to pay for anything as long as you date him. There are some real cons to dating him, but right now his eyes are distracting me from all of them. I think I may just give him one more chance.
