50 Days To Fall In Love (Modern Reylo au)

Day 5

Rey was alone once again, well not really.

Poe and Finn had gotten drunk the night before and were convinced that they were Easter bunnies.

Today they were lying in bed groaning and sick to their stomachs. Instead of staying at the apartment and listening to their groans, she decided to take a walk around town. First she decided to stop at Jakku Eats, her favorite place to eat. Looking over the selection she decided to get a sandwich, a bottle of water, and a sand treat.

"That'd be $8.50 miss."

She handed the cashier her money before hearing a familiar voice call her name.

"Rey!"

It was Kylo. He was seated in a booth and waving at her.

"Kylo! Hi!"

She walked towards him and sat across from him.

"So what brings you here Rey?"

"I decided to take a walk around town, I stopped here to get food."

"Oh, though why aren't you with Finn or Poe?"

"They got drunk."

"Oh."

"Yeah...what are you doing here?"

"To grab a bite to eat, I have work later today."

"Oh work..."

"What about work?"

"I was going to ask if you wanted to join me, I could use the company."

"Well...I...I'm working from home. I have a call to make back at my place around 3:00-3:30. Will we be done before then?"

"Yeah. We have to finish up though."

A few minutes later....

"Done!"

"I'm done too. Let's head out."

"Okay! Follow me!"

Rey skipped out with Kylo following behind. This day was going to be fun.

A few hours later...

They finished there "journey" at the park and were currently sitting on a park bench.

"Kylo this was fun."

"Yeah it surprisingly was."

"Hey Kylo...do you have your call soon?"

His watch read: 2:45

"Yeah I better be going soon. Rey, this was fun, maybe we could do it again?"

"Maybe...but before you go, here."

She hands him a slip of paper.

"What's this?"

"To keep in touch, we are friends now right?"

"Yeah."

He smiles
