Rey woke up the next morning with a pounding headache and the feeling of guilt in her stomach. Her mind wandered to last night.
Ben kissed her.
Rey was surprised at first before kissing him back. To her it was a desperate need, it was selfish of her. Selfish of her to kiss someone who she wasn't sure about, feelings wise. Rey knew he liked her, but want she didn't know was if she liked him for real. It might as well be some twisted version of lust. So much has been going on maybe she just needed some version of affection. Rey couldn't did it, she should've left when she had the chance.
Her hand went to his chest and she lightly pushed him away.
"I'm sorry Ben I can't."
"What do you mean?"
"I can't. I can't I can't I can't." Rey out her hands to her head and sighed.
"Rey -"
"I'm sorry Ben, but I can't do this. I can't continue to hurt you like this," Rey pushed herself away from him and headed toward the door.
"Rey please -"
"I'm sorry..." she ran out tears coming from her eyes. Finn had picked her up outside of his apartment along with Poe. They didn't say much, they didn't need to. Finn and Poe already knew someone's heart had been broken.
And it wasn't Ben's.
