My Older Sister

Alice Prov: 

      I'm starting to think Ryder kisses me just to shut me up sometimes.  I mean I admit I do overly think  something's at times.  I can't believe even now I'm thinking about overthinking when Ryder is kissing me.  

       I kiss Ryder back opening my mouth to allow his tounge enterance, which he didn't even need no more encouragement because he lifted me up and was pushing me back against the living room wall.  While we were making out I pulled on his hair and that earned me a moan.  Before we got to caught up   I heard the front door open. 

"Ryder." I said slightly pushing him off me. 

"Hmm?" Okay it was official Ryder was in the 'hormonal teenage guy faze' right now. 

"Someone came in, we have to stop." Even though I didn't want to stop I knew I had to check to see who was here. 

"I didn't hear anyone." He leans in to kiss my neck but I push him off. 

"Ryder I'm serious someone is here. You just go hide somewhere and I'll chase them off ok?"

"Okay." Okay? I figured he would want to me a man and face what that noise was but I guess I was wrong.

As I start to creep slowly in the kitchen it was dark but I saw a moving figure. Now what do you expect me to do JSUT stand their and not hit them with something? No. I grabbed the nearest thing I could find which was a frying pan and approached the figure. 

"Alice?" The voice said, the voice of a girl? Not just any girl my sister. 

"Omg I was going to hit you! What are you doing creeping around the house in the dark?!" 

"Relax Alice I just came to vist my baby sis is all." 

Go towards the light switch, I turned on the kitchen lights.  "What are you doing here visitng me out of the blue?" 

"Can't I just vist my sister?" Okay she seems sincere but I know my older sisters tricks and I wasn't going to fall to any of them. 

"No.' I say meekly.

"Hmm speaking of which did you have a guest over?"  

A blush starts to creep across my face. "No just me" I smiled weakly. 

"I don't believe you what's his name?"

"First off , of course you don't believe me and what makes you sure it was a he?" 

"Oh so you play for the other team now?" 

"No I don't." 

"I did get you to admit you did or do have a guess over."  My sister said smiling mischievously .

Getting off topic I asked "Seriously Emily,  what are you doing here?" 

"It's about mom." That whole sentence makes me freeze up in a instant.  Last time I saw mom was when she was on her 'business' trip. That's why I'm home alone most of the time because she's always away on business, I guess that's what working for a bank company does to someone.

"What about mother?" 

"She's sick." 

"What do you mean she's sick?" 

Emily looks at me like I asked such a stupid question and for the first time ever I saw that she had tears in her eyes. 

"She's dying." 

"What do you mean?" I said chocking on my words. Suddenly it became hard to breathe and my heart was thumping fastly in my chest. Please , don't let it be what I think it is.

"Alice it's cancer. She has cancer."

Well I bet you all didn't suspect Alice had a sister. Anyways I really haven't written much about Alice's or Ryder's parents or family . (Yet)
