LUNA'S POV

"So do we want it to be a break-up song, a love song, an unrequited love song, a song expressing nostalgia for a place, a song expressing nostalgia for a time, a song about political dreams or ideals, a classic country song, a heavy metal song, or an emo song?" Taylor asked. "Whoa. That's a lot of different genres. Let's just go classic with a break-up song." I replied. She nodded, scribbled a couple notes down, then tapped her chin with the pen, "What do we want the title to be called. Any ideas? Just throw them out there!" I thought for a second, "I have no idea!"

Taylor shrugged, "So say your ex says, 'Honestly, what do you think of me?' what do you answer?"

"Either I'm still in love with you or I'm glad were over. You pick." She giggles, "Let's do the second one." I nod as she jots it on the paper. "What else?" I ask.

"Umm.... describe the characteristics of this guy." she asks. I smile and shake my head, "I don't know!" I laugh "You decide!" She laughs along with me, "Okay! Okay! Um... Hold on a second," she grabs her phone. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Whenever I'm stuck on a lyric, I check my notes for ideas so... How about... 'dark and mysterious.' And it can take place in and outside his house or something? And maybe we could do this for a music video as well." I shrug and nod my head, "Yeah okay."

"Describe your outlook on future relationships in light of the breakup." She explained. That question was hard, "Okay, give me a sec." she bops her head "Um, maybe reflect back on all of the joyous moments our relationship? I dunno, whatever you want." Taylor looks up at me, "Luna. It's your song too. Okay? Don't get too stressed about it." My hands were sweaty, "Alright."

She scribbles on the paper, then turns on the back side. "What do your friends think about your ex?" I lash up, "Absolutely hate him!" Taylor giggles. And after writing it down hands them to me, "Your turn." I shake and tremble, "Oh, okay." "Just pretend you're by yourself writing." I nodded.

"Umm... Describe how you will make your ex jealous." I laugh and so does she. "Date his best friends!" I giggle and write it down. The last time she said that was in "Picture to Burn," so it shouldn't be too obvious. Just kidding.

"Tell me something you did today by yourself." I ask. "Well, I haven't really done anything today..." she says "But I normally hang out with my best friends after a big break up. I nod and write a lot this time, "I do too. It always helps!" We laugh together and finish the song.

"So our title it called 'Me Without You' I'll sing what we have so far, tell me what you think." Taylor said. "Okay."

Verse One:

I'm so glad we're over

And maybe I'm too young to keep good love from going wrong

He's dark and mysterious

And much too blind to see the damage he's done

Chorus:

But I still reflect on all of the moments

And all the memories.

Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets in the rain

They hate you, so I should too.

Is how I pictured me without you

Verse Two:

I'll go and date all your best friends

Well I feel too young to hold on

My best friends are better

Yeah, my friends are better

Ooooo, is enough, enough?!

Chorus:

But I still reflect on all of the moments

And all the memories.

Lonely is the room, the bed is made, the open window lets in the rain

They hate you, so I should too.

Is how I pictured me without you

Bridge:

Ooooo, I still reflect on

All of the joys of our relationship.

I'm always lonely is this room. Oh, the bed is made.

The open window lets in the rain

They hate you... so I should too.

Is how I pictured me with you

Chorus, fade to the end, etc. etc. You like it!?" I  nod a billion times, "Yes!!" Taylor high fives me, "We did it! That was quick" she looks out the window "And just in time too!" I peer outside, we're here!
