Ashton:

He honestly doesn’t recognize the voice at first. What he does notice though is how beautiful the tone is and how melodic he is. Following the noise through his home and outside to the porch where he finds you sitting peacefully in one of the lawn chairs, tea in your hands as you relax in the early morning atmosphere. “For better or worse you’re the one I never thought I’d hurt. Looking back on these dreams if nothing is what it seems. Know that you’ll wake up to better things,” the lyrics to Briane by Boyce Avenue flowing perfectly from your mouth. You pause after the verse though taking a drink from your cup. Ashton cleared his throat at this point, causing you to turn and smile. “Hey, I didn’t’ know you were there,” you say, pushing a loose strand of hair from your face. “That was beautiful. I didn’t know you had a voice like that.” Taking a seat next to you he lets his hand go over and rub your thigh. “You’re going to have to sing to me more often.” He says before turning his head looking out at the sky with you.

Calum:

Off-tune vocals heard from the bathroom, your voice cracking every now and then, Calum cannot help from quietly laughing to himself when he hears you singing in the shower for the first time. If you actually try then you truly can sing nicely, having done a few covers with him, but when you were in the shower putting on a live show for your shampoo and conditioner bottles then nothing really mattered. You were in there to relax and just let the stress wash away and he loved that. He knew you’d get embarrassed though if you knew that he heard so he kept is his little secret, always getting slightly excited when you said that you were going to take a shower.

Luke:

You really hadn’t ever had too much confidence in your voice so you were pretty lenient when it came to singing in front of people. Driving down the interstate one day with Luke though, you heard one of your favorite songs come on the radio, literally having to bite your tongue to keep from singing. It was when you heard Luke start singing along that pushed you forward, opening your mouth and belting out the chorus with him, and actually sounding pretty good. You don’t even notice that he stops looking, glancing at you every few seconds while still keeping his eyes on the road. “Where did that come from?” he asks incredulously as the song ends. You instantly start biting on your lip shying away. “Oh it’s nothing…I just…I like that song,” you say letting out a nervous chuckle. Had you sounded bad? He notices that you’re shying away so he gently takes your hand. “It was beautiful. I wouldn’t mind waking up to a voice like that,” his voice holding a sincerity to it that makes you smile as you squeeze his hand.

Michael:

Late nights when sleep is almost impossible to find and your thoughts are taking over every space in your brain is when you find it best to write lyrics. Your songwriting was a secret though, kept away in a little black journal that you kept with you. Michael was asleep in your bedroom as you sat in the living room, pen flying across the paper as you concentrated on nothing but the words, every now and then singing them out loud and seeing how they sounded. The sound of your voice was making its way upstairs and had woken Michael who was quietly sitting up in bed listening to the words you were singing. They were deep and they were purely about yourself and struggles. They sounded beautiful; especially with you singing them. Michael didn’t want to ruin the moment was taking place, so he laid down and silently listened until you finally packed up and came back to bed. Quietly turning onto his side as he gathered you in his arms.
