The day before you
Your whole life you watched the women in your life go through heartache after heartache. So you had pretty much given up on love until the day you met Zayn. When you met him you were in an abusive relationship and you didn’t know how to get out. He didn’t abuse you physically but he did emotionally. You thought that was all love was because that’s all you’ve ever known. But Zayn showed you what true love could really be like. He helped you get out of that horrible relationship and loved you like a real boyfriend should. On the day he proposed of course you said yes. But you couldn’t help but feel like you still hadn’t told Zayn just how much he meant to you and your life. So after he asked and you said yes, you sat him down on the couch. You walked over to the stereo and put the song ‘The Day Before You.’
“Just listen to the words.” You whispered playing with your hands.
He watched you as the song played and he really listened to every single word. When he song was over you walked over to him and took him by the hand.
“You are the best thing that has ever happened it me.” You whispered. “I know sometimes I can be very difficult and stubborn but that was because, before you, I never knew love could be this amazing. You taught me so much and I just wanted to know 100% how I felt about you. I love you Zayn and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
He slowly wiped his tears away after you were done speaking and said, “Thank you. Thank you so much for opening up to me. I know how hard that must have been for you. I love you so much my sweet Y/n. And I promise I will spend the rest of my life making sure you never forget what love feels like.”
He pulled you close covering his lips with your own. He really was the best thing that ever happened to you and because of him to finally know what it means to be loved.
