Michael: You and Michael had been dating for almost a year now and you shared everything with each other—well almost everything. There was one thing you hadn’t told him. You cut. It had started a few years earlier when your family first started to fall apart and you being socially awkward didn’t have anyone to turn to so instead you turned to cutting. At first, you hadn’t even meant to do it but as your family situation got worse, it got worse. You hadn’t told anyone and you intended to keep it that way. Michael was still on tour and you hadn’t been doing so well. You had meant to call him because talking to him seemed to keep your mind from the razors you had, but you forgot as you were too busy fighting with your mom, once again. You forgot that he was coming home for a few days and today was the day he arrived. You ran into your room, shutting the door, tears streaming at your face as you quickly found your razor and slid it over your arm. You had heard your mom slam the door and her car start but you hadn’t heard her interacting with your boyfriend and his footsteps to your door. You turned around just as he opened the door and you froze. Michael made contact with your arm and what was in your hand and ran over grabbing it from you as you tried to take it back. “No! Please! I need release!” You were sobbing hysterically and all of a sudden all you could do was hold on to Michael for dear life. HE just squeezed you in his arms as he whispered in your ear. “Y/N, baby, oh, baby. What has happened? I’m so sorry I wasn’t here for you but I will be. We’ll get through this. Right now, please just slow your breathing.” You didn’t know how talking to him about it would go but you knew right now you needed him and he was there for you.

Ashton: Today, you were going over to your boyfriend’s house for a swim with him and his mates. You had gone, intent on just staying out of the pool with some bracelets and capris on because you had scars that you didn’t want your boyfriend or his friends to see. When you had finally gotten there, you walked in to see Luke and Calum already out by the pool, Mikey sitting inside just talking to them through the doorway and Ashton in the kitchen, grabbing something to drink. You turned to Ashton and smiled, “Hey Ash.” He looked up and smiled before walking over and hugging you while giving you a small peck on the lips. “Hey, babe. Ready to go swimming?” You smiled. “I was thinking of just sitting today out and hanging with Mikey.” “Aw don’t do that. It’ll be a lot more fun in the pool, I promise.” You smiled before sighing. How were you supposed to get out of this one? You quickly thought of the obvious lie. “I’m on my period.” You knew lying was bad but you couldn’t let him see the scars. “Oh. Okay, well then just come sit out with us at least?” You nodded. You said hi to the others before sitting with your feet inside the pool and your arms behind you. You had put on a light jacket and without thinking, you rolled up the sleeves. You saw Calum give you a weird look before pointing at your arms. You turned to see what he was pointing at and your eyes got big. You turned to see him whispering to Ashton as you got up and ran to the bathroom. You heard Ashton follow you. Before you could close the door, Ashton appeared. “Y/N, let me see your arms please.” You knew you had no way of getting out of it so you showed him while you squeezed your eyes tight, trying to keep the tears from spilling. “Oh baby.” He put his lips to your arms, kissing the scars. “I’m so sorry.” You whispered. He shook his head as he pulled you in whispering how he loved you no matter what.

Luke: It was a cold day out and you and your boyfriend, Luke, decided to take a walk outside as you loved the cold air. You weren’t feeling too good as you had just gotten done giving yourself clean cuts before leaving to meet up with Luke. You knew it was bad but you couldn’t help it. You weren’t the very well-liked at school. You weren’t rude but you weren’t friendly either. You didn’t do it on purpose, you just didn’t know how to interact with people very well. Only Luke had been able to get through, mostly because he seemed to be the only person who’d tried. You finally met up with Luke and as you walked along, you came upon a playground which obviously meant that you had to climb all over it. You had been running around and just being silly when Luke grabbed your arm to catch you and you made a yelp before quickly pulling your arm away. Luke saw you retreat while holding your arm gently. “You okay, Y/N?” You nodded, avoiding his eyes. “Just a bruise.” He started walking towards you. “From what? Must’ve really hit your arm hard if it made you react in that way.” You kept backing up and you were about to turn and run away when he grabbed your waist. “Let me see your arm, Y/N.” He said it so softly and so lovingly that you just nodded as he took your wrist and gently moved your sleeve out of the way to reveal the red, tender scars that were obviously fresh from the redness drawn to them. He looked up with you, tears in his eyes. “Why?” He didn’t say it accusingly but you could tell he was taking it personally. You backed away slightly. “I’m sorry. I just couldn’t take them and their taunting and the looks. I know I’m not the easiest person to converse or interact with but I try and they all just look and treat me like a monster.” You didn’t say it angrily, you said it with pain dripping from your words. Luke didn’t say anything else, he just walked to you and pulled you into his arms as you just let it out. “Please don’t do this again, baby. Please. I’m here for you. I love you.” He just kept repeating that to you as you just cried into his chest.

Calum: You and Calum had been dating for a while. You didn’t know what had happened but soon you found yourself losing sight of what was important in your life. You had been fighting a lot with your parents, your siblings, your friends, and especially Calum. You didn’t know why it was but all you knew is you were sad and felt lost. You hadn’t meant to start but you had accidentally sliced yourself when you had been making yourself some food. You were at home alone and you had started bleeding but that’s not what had shocked you. What shocked you was the fact that you felt good. After getting cut, you felt like some weight was lifted off of you, like some of the emotional pain was gone. You picked up the knife and made another little slice. You felt better. You did that a few more times and soon both your arms were cut up and there was blood. You hadn’t made the cuts big enough to where you’d lose a lot of blood, but just big enough to where there would be scars. You cleaned up the kitchen and quickly cleaned up the blood on your arms. You had been so wrapped up in your own little world that you hadn’t heard Calum walk in. He tended to do that, especially after you had fought because he knew you wouldn’t open up. You turned around to go get a jacket when you saw him standing there. “Y/N…” You didn’t know what to do so you just stood there looking at the ground. You didn’t realize how much pain you were in both physically and mentally until then and all you could do was let the tears fall. Calum walked up taking in your physical state and he just grabbed you. He just kept apologizing for the fighting and not seeing how much pain you were in and he just pulled you into his arms as you just stood there. You just cried because you were scared. How could hurting yourself feel good? All you needed was Calum. You looked up and gave him a kiss. He pulled away and kissed all over your face and your arms. “You don’t need those, Y/N. You are better than that. You have me and I’m going to take care of you.” He took you upstairs where you both just laid there as he made sure to keep you safe from your demons.
