Chapter 13

Baby girl was so worried about her outward appearance, she put her soul's beauty under her veil of attention.

There's a soft knock at my door and I freeze.

Is it Darcy? Do I want it to be?

"Who is it?" I ask, my voice coming out harsher than expected.

"It's Carol. May I come in?"

A wave of relief and oddly, disappointment washed through me as I reluctantly got off my bed and headed over to unlock the door. Stepping back, Carrie barely acknowledged my existence as she marched right in and took a seat on the bed I just vacated.

"Do you wanna explain to me what just happened?" She asked, hands folded against her chest.

Oh shit, she saw me kissing her.

"What? There's nothing to explain."

"Really? And that's why Darcy just sprinted from here like the devil was after her?!"

"We just were talking."

"About?." Carrie asked and I realized she didn't see anything, or maybe she pretended not too.

"We were just talking about random stuff and I guess she was late for something. Can we please talk about this later?. I just really want to be alone right now."

I watched as she exhaled and I held my breath. "Okay, as long as you're okay I'll let you be."

She gets up and walks over to the door but stops as she remembers something. "Oh, before I forget. Roni and I are heading up North for the week."

"What?!" I cast surprised eyes towards hers and she tries to hide her guilt. She just spent three days with her family now the two of them are going away together?

"I'm sorry Jane but Roni and I think it would be best if we had some alone time to try and figure out our relationship."

"Are you guys fighting or something?"

"No! No, nothing like that-"

"Did your doctor say it's okay? I mean, you're still recovering from your surgery and-"

"He said it's fine Jane. Don't worry, I'll be careful."

"Okay then." I pick up my phone to distract myself as I heard the door close behind me.

Sighing deeply, I head over to my bed; It should be a good thing that they're leaving me alone for the next seven days right? I would have the place to myself and Ryder could even sleep over. So why was I feeling so weird inside? Was it because I knew Darcy wouldn't have an excuse to come visit?

I shake the weird feelings and thoughts from my system as I flipped through my phone. I've been avoiding Ryder for long enough and I suddenly needed to see him. We've never made out at my place and I just wanted to get rid of whatever feelings were starting to develop for Darcy. It's not that I'm being a hypocrite, I just am not gay.

I took a quick bath and an hour later I heard Veronica's voice as she directed Ryder to my room. I pulled my robe tighter around me as I sat on my bed. There was a soft knock and I waited patiently as he pushed the door open.

"Hey?" He greets and my eyes roamed his features.

"Hey."

I watch as he walks further into the room before coming to sit next to me and I've never felt more awkward. It was made abundantly clear that he thought I was still mad at him so I got off my bed and walked over to the door where I locked it.

"Am, Jane, I know you're mad at me for blowing you off the other day but I really did have something important to do." He says nervously, avoiding eye contact. "I mean, if you're going to kill me let me just get that out of the way."

"I don't care about that Ryder, I just miss you and wanted us to have some alone time." I waited for his reaction and I smiled as it happened instantaneously.

His wide eyes snapped up to mine and I bit my lips. I saw his sharp intake of breath and my heart began to increase. Should I really be doing this? With new found strength, I walked over to the bed before I slowly released the straps holding my robe together and dropped it. His eyes widen further and he gasped as he took in my attire.

"J-Jane-" He stutters, shocked.

I wore my sexiest pair of black lingerie which was a cute little tiny two piece that was netted and left absolutely nothing to the imagination. I stood in front him and slowly ran a finger down his chest, stopping at his belt.

"I don't want us to fight anymore, I just want you... No, I need you." I murmur and on cue, he closed his eyes and inhaled.

Taking the opportunity I straddled his legs before bracing his head against mine. His eyes flew open and I smiled as I saw his grey eyes turn dark.

"Do you want me?" I whispered and he nodded. "Then take me." I concluded as I felt his pants tighten.

His grey eyes dilated and he inhaled before swiftly placing his lips on mine.

Yes. This is what I needed. I thought.

His lips were soft but firm at the same time and I knew I was getting wet. Ryder was an amazing kisser and soon, all thoughts of Darcy were swiped from my head as his tongue delved into my awaiting mouth. I rubbed my breasts against his chest and I heard his slight groan as he felt my taunt tips brushing against his shirt.

With swift and steady hands, his began to roam my body and I gasped as he greedily slipped his fingers between the flimsy material of my underwear. Suddenly, my feet was off the ground and I wrapped my arms around his neck as he placed me onto the bed before kneeling over me. I smiled up at him and he stood up as he pulled his clothes off.

Ryder's muscles flexed as he pulled his shirt over his head and I laid in wait of what pleasure were sure to come. I stared up at his jagged jawline before my eyes traveled to his perfect mouth and he smirked at me as he dropped the bottom half of his garments. He had muscles for days and the ripped stomach that I saw before me was so precise that I ached to run my tongue along it.

Who said I wanted Darcy again?

His cute V looked sexy as it plunged low and I took a sharp intake of breath as I stared at his ginormous shaft. When my eyes fluttered back to his he was smiling slyly and that drove me over the edge. He quickly pulled on a condom before fitting himself between me and my eyes flew shut as he rubbed his thick shaft against me causing every and all thought of Darcy to be long forgotten.
