Chapter 27 ~ A Meeting

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing, telling me that I have a new text message.

From: Evan
Hey, you and Maddie have a meeting with the people in charge of the tour. Can I pick you guys up in a half hour?

A meeting? For what? Hopefully it isn't too long because this is Maddie's and my last day in England. I wouldn't mind picking up a souvenir for Kate and Sam. I plan on buying them something from every place I go.

To: Evan
Sure! Do you have any idea what the meeting is about?

I see Evan replying almost instantly.

From: Evan
Nope, not a clue. This is my first time being on a tour you know. I've only done security for events around here. Well I'll pick you up soon, and you can just text me when you are done with your meeting. :)

I almost forgot that Evan is new to this security guard job. He seems like such a natural at it. I reply back to him with a simple "thanks:)" and get out of bed to go wake up Maddie.

"Maddddiieeeee" I sing as I lightly shake her shoulder. It is only 7:30 in the morning and I know she will not be happy about getting up so early.

She doesn't move, but suddenly opens her eyes and glares at me. "What could you possible need at-" she glances at the clock "7:30 in the morning!"

"Wow. Good morning to you too. How about a 'thank you so much loving and kind person for waking me up so that I had a sufficient amount of time to get ready for my meeting with the tour managers'? Is that too much for a guy to ask?" I finish and look down at Maddie, who is still glaring at me.

"Get. Off. My. Bed." She says and I finally realize she is just as much of a morning person as I am.

"Well we have a half and hour until Evan picks us up," I say getting up from her bed and heading back to mine. "You do what you want with your time."

"Half an hour?!" Maddie cries. "How is a girl supposed to get ready in half and hour?" She jumps out of bed and heads straight towards the bathroom.

"I'll order breakfast!" I call.

"So does anyone know what this meeting is about?" Maddie asks from the backseat of Evan's car.

"Nope."

"Not a clue."

"Great. We are going into a meeting that we know nothing about. That's how people get fired, you know." Maddie points out, though I'm not sure how she would even know about getting fired.

"How would you know? Have you ever been fired from a job?" I ask Maddie, eyebrows raised because I can't wait to see what she comes up with for this one.

"Well, no." she says but then adds "But I've watched plenty on movies so I am practically an expert."

"Mm hm." Is all I say in reply as I roll my eyes at her. She is unbelievable.

Suddenly I'm pulled from my thoughts as Evan stops the car. "This is it." He says and looks at Maddie and me. "I'm sure it will be fine. Just text or call me if you need anything!"

"Thanks again." I tell him and smile as I slip out from the car. "Yeah thanks!" Maddie adds in and I am proud that she has good manners. Sometimes.

Maddie walks up beside me and to my surprise grabs my hand as we walk through the big glass doors and into the building that will be holding our meeting.

*Harry*

"I heard that Maddie and Niall have the meeting today." Liam says as we all pack into the car. Paul is driving us to a meeting of our own. A lot of things need to be discussed when you go on a world tour.

"I wonder how they'll take it?" Zayn adds and I know we are all wondering the same thing. Because going on this tour is a 'prize' for the winners of the contest, they can technically back out at any time. The boys and I were really excited about this contest because we know how much it would mean to the fans and it would show how much we care about them. But how would it look to them if the chosen fan decided to leave because of this meeting. I think it will be hard on both of them, but especially Niall. I just don't know how he's gonna take it.

"We can only hope for the best." Louis answers the question that Zayn left hanging. Louis puts his arm around my shoulder as I look out the window as we drive to our meeting.

Hey guys! I know this is a super short chapter but I posted it quick so hopefully that makes up for it? Anyway, what do you think the meeting is about? Any ideas? You might be surprised I'm not sure.
