Chapter 24 ~ "Lee- um...?"

As we pulled up to the hotel, Evan handed me a printed schedule for the next two days. Tomorrow, Maddie and I have a free day to do whatever we want around London. But first, we have to call Evan. He is to be with us the entire tour, which is meant to be reassuring, but it is kind of intimidating. Who knows what could happen if Maddie or I went out without a guard. Since we're traveling with such a famous band, the fans are bound to figure out who we are and what we look like. The thought scares me.

Evan typed his number into my phone before handing us keys to our room. Saying goodnight, Maddie and I carry our bags up to our room.

"I can't believe it." Maddie says after setting her bag down next to the bed farthest from the door.

"You better. I came all the way out here for you." I give her a look so she knows I'm kidding, but only a little. "I'm surprised you didn't freak out when you actually met them."

Maddie lands on one of the beds yawing. "I didn't want to be too much of a fangirl. They deal with it daily so I thought they'd have a better time having an actual conversation rather than just me screaming."

I laugh at her statement. It was true; they're about the biggest boy band right now. Who'd want to spend a tour with a teenager who squeals over every little thing they do. I was surprised she actually thought about it to. What really caught me off guard was the lads agreeing with bringing a fan along tour. Luckily for them, we have no evil plots to kidnap them, which I have heard about before. I hope we never have to meet someone who is that crazy.

"Hey, I had another question about today" I say, causing Maddie to look at me once again. "Why did you tell Zayn that this was your second favorite moment?"

Maddie looks down at the sheets and I notice a slight blush on her face. "Because it was my second favorite moment." She replies.

I decide to prod her and ask "Well what was your first?"

She gets under the covers and turns to face the wall, not looking at me.

"When you said you were adopting me."

I am shocked, and I want to jump for joy. I am her favorite moment! But instead of jumping around, I sit on the edge of her bed and whisper "Adopting you was my favorite moment too." I rub her shoulder, because I know she wants me to think she is already asleep.

After changing clothes I yawn getting in the bed next to hers and shutting off the lights in the process.

When the rays of morning sun finally broke through the window, I knew it was time to get up. I may not be too excited about going on tour with a boy band, but a free tour of England sounds good to me. I roll over and see that Maddie is already awake and on her phone.

"Who are you texting?" I ask her. I remember that I need to text Sam and Kate, but I figure that I will wait until I see something interesting enough to text about.

Maddie looks up and replies "Just telling Sierra and Nani everything that happened."

I nod and roll out of bed, almost falling when I realized I was tangled in the sheets. Maddie just watched me a chuckled before looking back at the screen in her hand. I may or may not have given her a dirty look as a walked to the bathroom to get ready.
