I Just Want To Be...

This is the day after coronation.....ish

Jay was having a rough week. People wanted him to be something he's not. Ben wants him to join the science club, coach wants him to be a tourney athlete, Carlos wants him to be a bookworm, Audery wants Jay to be her boyfriend and Mal and Evie just want him to be him.

One day he was talking with Carlos, Ben and Mal. Evie was studying  "okay if you don't want to be those things what do you want to be Jay?" Asked Ben "I don't know yet" said Jay truthfully "what is something you love doing?" Carlos asked.

"I don't know" said Jay "okay. What makes you happy?" Asked Ben "I don't know!" Said Jay "wait, I have another way to approach this. Jay who makes you happy?" Asked Mal "w... What sort of question is that?" Asked Jay "just answer it" said Mal

"Who makes you happy?" Asked Mal again he mumbled something under his breath "Who?" Asked Mal, he mumbled the name again "a little louder Jay" said Carlos "Evie!" He said almost shouting "Evie makes me happy!" Said Jay, Mal and Ben smiled "care to tell us why?" Asked Carlos.

"Its hard to explain" said Jay "just tell us how you feel about her" said mal. Jay sat down and took a deep breath. He was thinking of a way to tell them how he feels about Evie, it was a strange feeling but he liked it. He felt... Happy.

"Well... Whenever she's happy... I'm happy. And whenever she's sad I'm sad too. My heart flips when she talks to me. I get butterflies when I'm around her. She helps me see the good side of me, even when I don't think it's there. She makes me fell... Special" said Jay

"Dies she make you feel warm a fuzzy inside?" Asked Ben "yeah, whenever she giggles I feel all warm and fuzzy" said Jay "Jay do you have feelings for Evie?" Asked Ben "what the hell is a feeling?" Asked Jay "so you love Evie?" Asked Mal

"I... I think so"  said Jay "then there you go. That's the answer" said Carlos "do you now know what you want to be?" Asked Ben "yes... I think I want to be her man" said Jay "I have to go tell her!" Said Jay and he ran out of the room. He was happy.

But not for much longer.

He ran into the library and saw Evie and Jane studying together, he had fire in his eyes but he stayed positive. For Evie. He walked up to her, she didn't notice. she was talking to Jane  about... A boy? Jay hid behind the bookshelf and listened in.

"Jane...I... I think I love him" said Evie the word lingered in Jays mind "then tell him" said Jane "but... What if he doesn't feel the same way?" Asked Evie "Evie just tell him" said Jane "he's my best friend. It would ruin our friendship" said Evie

"Besides... He's a tourney player and I'm a bookworm. It's never going to work out. He's probably in love with a cheerleader. While I'm here daydreaming about him, he'll end up with a pretty cheerleader while I'll get stuck with a nerd" said Evie sadly.

Who is this guy she is talking about?? Jay questioned himself "Evie you listen to me. I know he likes you. Now go find him and tell him" said Jane "thanks Jane" said Evie and she stood up "no problem" said Jane. Evie ran out of the library.

Jay walked up to Jane "so who where you guys talking about?" He asked Jane "Jay?!? Oh god. I need to text Evie" said Jane and she pulled out her phone. Surprisingly he phone rung as she picked it up. It was Evie calling her.

"Evie what's wrong?" Asked Jane Jay couldn't hear Evie's end if the convosation. "Evie calm down. Just slowly back away and come back here. I have someone who you need to talk to" said Jane. "Yes he is right next to me now come on" said Jane and she hung up.

Soon enough Evie ran back in and saw Jay he walked up to her "I need to talk to you" they both said at the same time "you first" said Evie "I have no idea how to say this... Umm" Jay thought of a sing he had been listening to and he used that to help him.

"Well everyone is asking me what I want to be and now I know. I just want to be your man" said Jay. Evie smiled brightly and hugged him "I didn't know how to say this but I love you Jay" said Evie "I love you too Eve's" said Jay.
