Unexpected Visitors

Flying, what a wonderful thing. No wonder birds do it! The cool wind in my face, the view of the beautiful forest. Flying gives me so much time to think without being bothered by the pack.

I'm not sure if I went too far with the rogue or not but he was gonna die by the way Dean was snarling at him anyway. Probably a slow, painful death.

I finally landed in a huge clearing in the middle of the forest and realized that I must be miles from the pack house, maybe even their territory.

There were some beautiful wild flowers in the field here and there and the grass was long but not too long. I let my wings infuse with my back and just let the nature out here take me away from all the werewolf drama.

I closed my eyes, smiled, and took a deep breath. The smile vanished soon after. I could smell something threatening.

Is it a rogue? Another deep breath. No, a hunter? I took one more deep breath, then though about how Chad and his brother smelt at school. I gasped knowing it was a hunter right when an arrow flew by my head. I looked forward and saw five of them standing at the edge of the woods; two of them being Chad and Kale Tomber.

I instantly turned around and ran. I heard shouting and footsteps behind me but cared more about what was in my path. I jumped over logs and ran through bushes and branches of trees. I could see trees next to me get hit by bullets and arrows and I ran faster.

I was about to let my wings out and fly from them but a giant wolf was in my way. It had a mangy gray coat with wild, bloodshot eyes. A rogue! I thought. I came to a halt and the rogue wolf jumped towards me. I screamed bloody murder. It snapped its jaws in my face and I kicked it off me. It fell 30 feet from me and I ran again.

I felt a searing pain go through my left arm and saw blood running down it. A bullet must have grazed my arm. I though about what Dean said about not showing outsiders what I really am but didn't care.

I stopped in my path, let my wings emerge, and turned around. I felt them transform into their metal being and saw the rogue stop. It looked scared to death, as it should be. I felt my eyes change from their bright green color to black darker than coal.

The rogue slowly walked backwards warily, making sure it didn't make a wrong move to make me come toward him. I extended my wings to full length and felt my right hand tingle. I snapped my fingers and my hand was now on fire. The wolf's eyes were wide and watched my every move. I raised my arm up and the wolf tilted its head to the side out of confusion.

I was about to throw a fire bal at it when a huge black wolf jumped out of no where and took the rogue out. Then two more came out and stood in front of me, growling. I looked over and saw the hunters standing there. They weren't even bothered by the wolves in front of me. Their eyes were fixed on me and only me.

I felt vulnerable at that moment as they watched my every move, studying me; feeling as if they were judging me on whether or not I'm worthy as a challenge. I shook the fire off of my hand and took flight back towards the pack house; not able to take their painful stares anymore.

Once I arrived I let my wings slip inside my back again. I wonder how they fit in there, I thought to myself.

"Are you alright!" I heard someone shout. I looked up and saw Tony, Dean's dad, and Avery run towards me.

"I'm fine," I said panting.

"Dean told us you were hurt and took Brock and the twins to find you," Avery said.

"Yeah, I was chased by some hunters then attacked by a rogue wolf. No biggy," I said between breaths. Why am I so out of breath?

"No biggy!?! You could have been killed!" Avery yelled at me.

"Yes, I realized that, but I didn't. Only a flesh wound, see?" I say. "Now, if you excuse me, I'd like to lay down before I—" That was all I could say before I crashed to the ground.

Hey guys! Sorry for taking so long to update, stupid school. Anyways I hope you liked it and aren't to upset with it haha. Thanks for staying with the story and not giving up on it.
