Anna's POV (one year later)

My relationship with Dean has been steady. His father has handed him the title of alpha and is doing a great job at it. I help him out with the paperwork whenever he's stressed about it.

There hasn't been any rogue attacks since Chad was killed, which doesn't surprise me. He was probably the one plotting the attacks.

Kale, Chad's brother, hasn't been to school either. He's probably still mourning over the loss of his older brother.

Right now we're having lunch at school. It's chilli cheese fries and they're actually pretty good.

"You're actually eating that?" Avery asked me.

I nodded my head and placed another fry in my mouth.

"Gross," she wrinkled up her nose and made a gag noise. I laughed at her right when our boyfriends showed up.

"Hey babe," Dean smiled and put his arm around my waist. I smiled and scooted close to him. He smelled different today. Must have been a new cologne.

"What's that over there?" he pointed to a direction to my left. I looked and didn't see anything. I was about to ask him why he pointed over there when I saw his mouth was stuffed full.

I looked down at my food and it was all gone. "Dean, you better get me more food in the next 60 seconds or something bad will happen."

He swallowed, "like what?"

I looked at him with my most serious face, "you won't know what happens till it actually happens."

He gulped and instantly ran to get lunch line. I smiled, satisfied with myself and plucked an apple slice from Avery's plate while her and Brock were making out.

She gabbed my wrist right before I put it in my mouth, "Don't ever touch my food. Ever." I dropped it right when Dean came back with a new batch of chilli cheese fries.

"Thanks babe, you're the best," I said giving him a small kiss on the cheek.

After lunch was over we had our third and fourth periods and it was time for ACS or homeroom, whichever word you prefer.

I finished my Chemistry homework and asked the teacher to use the restroom. When I got there I heard a girl giggling and someone telling her to shush. I looked through the space between the door and the stall wall and saw Kaitlyn in her bra, typical. I moved over slightly and saw Dean.

I gasped and ran out of the room right as the dismissing bell rang. I grabbed my bad from my locker and walked straight to the woods. I could hear Dean asking people where I was but I kept walking with my head held high. When I was about 15 feet inside the forest edge I let my wings free and jumped towards the sky. It's a good thing the wind is drying my eyes out or else I'd be balling right now.

I landed in the backyard of the pack house and kept my wings out. I walked right towards the room Dean and I share and packed a duffel bag with my most important items.

"There you are babe," Dean said wrapping his arms around my waist. "I was looking for you," he said while nuzzling my neck.

I leaned into him then remembered what happened earlier and extended my wings out so he couldn't embrace me anymore.

"Hey! What's wrong? And why are your wings out?" he asked folding his arms over his chest and looking at me suspiciously.

I gave him a death glare and went to walk downstairs, "Where do you think you're going?" He said grabbing my wrist.

I stopped and turned to look at my wrist in his hand. I looked him in the eye and pushed him through the wall and he fell two stories to the ground.

I walked downstairs and saw Michael sitting in a chair and eating chicken nuggets. Ever since we found his mother I've been babysitting him almost every day I could.

He looked up and his while face lightened up, "Anna! Can I feel your feathers?"

"Not right now sweetheart," I said kissing his forehead. "I have to leave and I won't be back for awhile."

"Can I visit you so we can have play dates?"

"No sweetie."

He looked down and picked up a nugget then put it back down, "okay."

"What the fuck was that Montana?"

"Shut your mouth! There is a child in the room," I said to Dean.

"Don't tell me to-wait where are you going?"

"No place you'd care about. Now excuse me."

"No. You aren't going anywhere." He said using his alpha voice.

"I'm not one of your little blood hounds Dean. I don't take orders from anyone especially someone like you." I shoved passed him and slung my duffel bag over my shoulder.

I walked out of the door that was in the kitchen and went outside. I saw some of Deans guards in their wolf form growling at me.

I rolled my eyes and right when one lunged for me. I hit it in the face with my forearm and it instantly went down. It was Julian that I had hit. And she was out cold. I looked at the others and the took a few steps back.

I smirked and jumped in the air but Dean grabbed my leg and yanked me down hard.

"You are mine! You do what I say, when I say it. You can't ever leave me."

I stood up and brushed my pants off, "wanna try?" I hit him in the chest with both of my hands and he flew through the glass door.

I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear and jumped in the air and flew as high as I could and as far as I could so they couldn't track me.

***

I finally landed a few hours away in an open valley. The very place where I was shot with a silver arrow by Chad, or one of his goons.

I sat in the middle of the valley and thought about today. Dean being sweet with a good morning kiss. Being silly and stealing my lunch. Holding my hand and walking me to and from each of my classes. Then being a fuck head and hooking up with Kaitlyn in the girls bathroom.

I started to breathe heavier and get even more furious by the second. Him grabbing my wrist, yelling at me, ordering me around like his little pack members.

I held my head in my hands and couldn't stop thinking about the things he did to me. Then it happened. I let out a demonic scream, birds flew out of the trees, and fire went everywhere.

I couldn't stop it. I was too mad, too worked up to think about my actions until a hand was placed on my shoulder.

I stopped and looked at the fire that was destroying the vegetation. I snapped my fingers and a huge gust of wind blew all of the flames out.

About four months ago I discovered that I also had wind powers, not just fire powers. It does come in handy at times like this. I also didn't tell anyone just in case someone didn't like it or anything.

I turned to see the the body that belonged to the hand and it was Kale.

"I didn't mean to startle you, but it seemed as if you were having a rough day." I nodded yes and brought my knees to my chest and tried not to cry. He held me as I started to sob and cooed sweet nothings into my ear.

"Is it okay if I as what had happened?" he asked.

I nodded and told him the story of today's events without crying or getting angry.

"So you're mad at him?" I nodded. "Do you want to get back at him?" I thought for a moment and nodded yes. "Join forces with me and we can take him down together."

I looked at him and nodded sharply and looked him in the eye "I want him to pay."
