Chapter 5

April's POV

I put the pot of water onto the stove and let it simmer. I was making Vegetable Soup for dinner. After dinner I was going to learn the ropes.

After the soup finished we all grabbed bowls of it and filled into the living room. Niall and Natela raced over to the love seat and fell on it, giggling like idiots. I tried to ignore the jealousy gnawing at my stomach when he leaned in and placed a kiss on her nose as she scrunched it up. He then told her how cute it was. They gazed into each others eyes and leaned in. I quickly shifted my gaze.

I let my eyes rest on Delilah who was coming through the door. We're she and Louis sitting together? Louis sat on the armchair and Delilah cast a quick glance in his direction before sitting on the couch. As we settled in Louis began to look uncomfortable with Harry sitting VERY close to Delilah, even though his gaze was trained on me.

"Lilah come sit with me!" Louis whined until she gave in and stood up. He pulled her into his lap and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

Enough PDA shit.

"Ok, so, wanna explain what everything is Harry?" I ask.

"Well, we are assassins, obviously. Our main goal is to kill President Nazar Kane. After he dies, all Hell will break loose. The government will be so discombobulated that we can overrule them easily. I realize you've met the team but not what they are. I'm Harry, and I'm the lead fighter. This is my mate Louis, and he is the one who sets up traps. This is Niall, he plans the attacks. We have Natela, who is the main girl fighter, and Delilah who hacks computer systems, security, etc. Natela and Delilah are also our acrobats. They can do all sorts of flips and contortionist shit.  Later you'll meet Liam. You haven't met him yet, but he's the guy with all of the connections." Harry finished. My eyes went wide.

"What do I do?" I ask.

"We'll have to find out!" Natela said.

I was surprised when I felt myself nodding. Was I on board with this? This could take my life. I could be injured. I could be caught. There is no telling what could happen- yet I'm already agreeing? I need to slow down. I look at my lap and player with my fingers.

"What if I do something wrong?"

"You won't." Niall assures me.

"After you get the fighting and the knowledge, it's not that hard, really." Delilah speaks up.

Okay, I think.

"Let's do this thing."

"Okay, so what we need to do is sneak into The Halo Building. That is their first set of defense and it's where they get their supplies. " Niall told us, drawing out a plan.

"Now, I've looked at the blueprint. Harry, you and April will take out the guards. Delilah and Natela will climb the roof and use their flexibility to get through the tight, twisted air ducts. From there, Delilah will need to enter an all white room with some keypads. Stick to the shadows. There could be people. Natela, you guard Delilah while she hacks it, and then you leave. Natela you continue to the next four rooms and disable the guards. We will need your skill to get to the supplies. Delilah will open any doors you need to get through. That's when Louis comes in. Lou, you will set the bombs at the supplies and trick the guards into blowing it up."

I stared wide eyed.

"No way in hell could we pull this off."

I shout.

"We have before!" Louis said.

"Stop! We have no time to waste. Let's go." Harry ordered.

I heard a cold laugh and turned to see Natela and Delilah loading their guns.

"Let's roll."
