Ironically, at the exact moment someone felt their emotional death, another had a sign of life. The two events even happened in the same room.

The second Phil opened his eyes, he felt someone cover them. He was slightly lifted up by unfamiliar arms and told to stay still. Unlike the arms, Phil knew the voice very well. If Phil had to act dead to be held by the person he loved, he certainly wasn't going to complain.

Dan watched in horror as Grace punched a hole through the wall, along with some other things. He clutched Phil tighter, hoping he would stay "dead." If she found out he was alive, things certainly wouldn't end well.

Suddenly it all stopped.

Grace stood silently, looking quizically at Dan. "Why?" her voice came out at almost a whisper.

Silence.

"Why would you leave me?" Apart from Grace's quiet voice, gentle breathing was the only thing heard. "No," she continued, her voice rising in volume. "You'll never leave!" She pointed a shaky finger at Dan and stormed out, slamming the heavy metal door behind her.

Hey...

So, it's been awhile. I hope you'll forgive me for this half-assed shitty chapter. My depression has been a lot worse lately, and I've been getting a lot of writer's block, so I might end this story soon...

Keyword: might.

In good news, I may start another book. I have to decide among the two ideas I have, so please vote based on the titles.

Among The Flowers

Glowing Stars and A Peculiar Drive By

Thanks, and I hope you have a better day than I have been having lately. Bye!

Edit: oh, hun. Once again, it is I, future Katie here to tell you that you are not nearly as depressed. Sure, you still may not update very much, but it's cause you have a life now, and you have better friends and a boyfriend who loves you! Okay that's it, bye.
