"Phil?" Dan crept around the corner of Grace's basement, slowly walking and supporting himself with the seemingly endless shelves she had.
There was no response.
"Phil?" he turned the corner and suddenly there he was... but so was Grace.
She had her arm wrapped around Phil's neck and was holding a gun to his temple with her other hand. Phil wasn't able to stand on a regular basis anymore, so he was being held from the ground by his throat. His fingernails weakly scratched at Grace's arm and his face was so white that he almost appeared clear.
"Danny," Grace purred, squeezing Phil's throat a bit tighter. "Nice to see you!"
"Let go of him!" Dan yelled, stepping forward and immediately falling to the damp cement floor.
Grace almost giggles. "Aww, Danny, your so cutely pathetic! You think I'm going to let the man who ruined our relationship go?" She applies even more pressure to Phil's neck, making him gasp as his face begins to turn blue. Dan made a noise of discontent and started to stand, before the gun was aimed at him.
"Oh wait, you love him, don't you?" Grace trailed off. "It sure would be a shame if he were to get... shot." She moved the gun back to Phil's head.
"No!" Dan shrieked, lunging at her.
"Oh don't worry, I won't shoot him." Grace looks directly at Dan, enjoying the confused look on his face. She always liked to play with his emotions. "You will."
She tossed the gun to Dan, who looked at it as if it were poison and backed away.
"Come on, Danny, you can do it. After all, Phil's the one who corrupted your mind, made you think you were gay. Why would you be gay when you could have me?" Grace begins to sob. "We were going to get married!"
"No," Dan mumbles, backing away from the gun.
Grace squeezed tighter and black clouded Phil's vision. "Do it or I'll kill him myself and you as well."
Dan slowly picked up the gun, aimed it, and fired. His words were covered by a scream of agony and the bang of the bullet. "I'm so sorry."
