The Magic Book

Lizzy's P.O.V

I had put back the book that I was looking at and searched for another one. I am a bit of a bookworm so I had already read most of the books. "Lizzy!" My mom called out. She is the head librarian in the library."What mom?" "Shelby was wondering if you wanted to come over" "Tell her I said OK" I started to pack up my stuff and check out a book. It was about 6 people who got chosen to have powers. It is called The Six Hero's by YurieTheAwkwardAuthor. It sounds like the eights but with less people. I've always wanted to become an eight because that means you got to have powers and have adventures, they might have a bad reputation but that is because they are different. I have also always wanted to be a witch, but a good witch like Hermione off of the Harry Potter series. As I finish checking out the book and I start on the walk to Shelby's house. It doesn't take very long since the village is so close together. We haven't had any expanding since the new king became king. He hasn't even spent any money. He just keeps collecting taxes and earning more money. I get to Shelby's house and I see Aphmau and her parents walk in.We talk for a bit and then head up to Shelby's room. Shelby starts to tell us about an amazing new plant she found that looked like a rose except that it was rainbow and it took one day to grow. All you had to do was put the seeds in the ground and then you could see the rose grow right before you eyes. When she was done I started to tell them about the book that I checked out. I saw Aphmau looking at something out the window and I was almost done talking when Aphmau shushed me and told us to look out of the window. There was a person in a light green hoodie on the neighbors roof. It turned around and saw us staring so it ran off. Aphmau started running so Shelby and I chased after her. "We are going to the park, be back soon" Aphmau told our moms. I had never lied to my mom before, and it felt terrible to do so. Well technically Aphmau lied but I was part of the lie. We chased after her and I have to admit she is very fast. She ran by Ross's chicken farm and saw him look at his cousin, Shelby. Aphmau pointed at the person and we saw Ross look at it. It looked around and saw us trying to sneak up on it, while failing miserably, and it started running again. We chased after it and it stopped outside of an alley by Aphmau's Ice cream parlor. We got closer to it a saw that it was a girl. She saw us looking and she ran into the alley. "Guys I'm not sure about this" I said. I'm not normally a wimp but when it comes to creepy alleys you can count me out. "Its next to the Ice Cream Parlor I trust it" Aphmau told us. We went inside the alley and saw nfreezer "She must have gone into the freezer" Aphmau declared. We went out of the alley and around the front of the parlor. Aphmau got a key out from under the flower pot and unlocked the door. We stepped inside and turned on the lights. "Its kind of creepy when no one is in here" Shelby said. I went to go check upstairs, Shelby in the lobby and management, and Aphmau in the freezer. I looked everywhere upstairs and I could not find her. The last room to cgranteds Aphmau's room and when I did The Six Hero's fell out of my bag and opened. But when it opened it was opened to a secret compartment. "That wasn't there before" I said quietly. In the secret compartment there was a small circular box. I opened the box and saw a ring that us shaped like a wand and a note. I decided to read the note first.

Dear Lizzy
I have heard that you have always wanted to become an eight. I have also heard that you have wanted to become a witch. Your wishes have been granted. As soon as you put on the ring you will be the eight of spells. I know of you talent to find anything in a book, this will become useful to you.

Oh My Gosh! I am an eight! I put on the ring and I get surrounded by a pinkish purplish aura. I think I am receiving my powers. When the aura disappears I hear Shelby yell "Aphmau!" I run downstairs to see Aphmau outside of the freezer and Shelby asking her questions. "Wait what happened?" I asked. Aphmau got trapped in a freezer!"

We returned to Shelby's house at around 4:00. We asked our moms if we could have a sleepover and they said yes. Aphmau and I hurried home to pack. I brought a light pink string bag that is the same color as my hair that says, "Which building has the most stories to tell, the Library" When I get back to Shelby's house my mom has already left. Aphmau rushes in and follows me up to Shelby's room. At 5:00 we are just sitting there talking when I notice there new rings. "I guess you guys are eights as well? I see the rings" Aphmau turned pale and Shelby nodded happily. "I am" she said. "I am as well" Aphmau said. Then let's get headed to the hut in the northern woods. Me and Aphmau packed our stuff back in our bags and Shelby packed a bag. Shelby told us her mom goes to bed at around 8:00. (My mom stays up till about 2:00) We wait till around 8:30 and we sneak out. When we get to the northern woods we let Shelby lead the way. In around ten minutes we see the hut and go inside. I see a boy with brown hair looking at books and the girl in the green hoodie sitting alone looking at a glass of water. Aphmau, Shelby, and I start to talk when three boys burst in the room. "So I guess were last"

So far this is the longest chapter I have ever written. Thank you for reading and I had to search up a joke about books. Heh. I am going in the order of the Characters list. So the next chapter will be about Joel and so on.
