The Scavengers

Melanie's P.O.V.

We walked in a different room jand I looked around in awe. We were in a huge room with so many people. There were scientist running around with clipboards testing different things. There were people training with swords to become guards. There were people on top of structures that look archer towers. I also saw a group of people huddling around a wounded person healing him. I saw a person in the middle surveying it all. Why would they chose one leader when there are eights in here. When I looked again the person was switching with another person. The one who was controlling things before came up to us. "Grayson who are these people?" She asked looking at us. "Oh hey Katie nice to see you again" she said quickly. She had pink hair and dark lipstick. "Hey Mousie! These are the new Eight!" Armen explained. "The new Eights! Wow! What powers do they have?" Shelby started to speak. "Hi! I'm Shelby and I have the power to control Plants. That's Sky and he controls Air. Over there is Max and he can control Fire. The boy next to Max is Ross and he controls Earth. The girl with dark hair is Aphmau who controls Ice. Pink haired girl is Lizzy the spell master. Finally the Hoodied person is Blue and she controls Water. She also doesn't talk much." Shelby finished. "OK hi everyone! I'm Mousie and I am the Eight of Sound. I can control sound waves and make someone sound like they are saying something different." Mousie explained. "Really! Cool!" Sky said. I saw two female scientist running around. One had bluish greenish, blond hair with different color highlights, and pink glasses. The other had dark blond hair and blue eyes. I could tell they were scientist because they were wearing lab coats. "Mousie! We have had a breakthrough in our research!" The one with the pink glasses said. "We were lucky that Jen agreed to let us work with her poison ability" the one with dark blond hair mumbled. "Awesome Jena and Sammy I will be over there soon. You guys show the new Eights around." Mouse said. The girls looked at us and then to Katie. "Katie!" Jena said. She ran over to Katie and hugged her. "Nice to see you too Jena" Sammy followed behind Jena and started hugging her. "Guys! I can't breath!" Katie said amidst the hugging. "Sorry Jena said. She tweaked her glasses and then she looked over to us. Her eyes landed on me. "Have you ever known a girl named Yurie in your life?" She asks me. I think back and I vaguely remember a girl with green eyes and blond hair. I nod my head and she squeals. "By the way, thank you Shelby for telling me everyone's names" Jena said. "I told Mouse how did you hear?" Shelby asks. I saw a twitch of movement on her head. "I am a cat person. Otherwise known as a Meif'wa" she explained. I saw Sammy looking at her watch and Jena got the message. "Let's take a tour around!" She walked off and we followed. "Here is where the guards train." We looked over there and I saw two girls, one with reddish brown hair and one with blond hair that had colorful streaks in it, brawling. The blond haired had a blue and green sword that looked to be made out of emeralds and diamonds. The one with the reddish brown hair had an obsidian longsword. We moved on. "Over here is where the doctors work" Jena said with a sneaky smile on her face as she was staring at something. I looked at the doctors and two stuck out to me. They looked like the main doctors. One was a boy with black hair and brown eyes. The other was a girl with green eyes and blond hair that had blue highlights. She looked familiar. The girl looked over at is and looked at me. I could recognize that face anywhere. She ran over and hugged me. "Blue! How are you!" She said. "I have been the same. How are you?" I asked Yurie. The two scientist gasped and Yurie looked proud. "You finally talk to some people don't you." She said to me. We had a small reunion and continued on the tour. "Here is where the archers train." I saw an archer with a pink bow, hazel eyes, and pink hair. The other had green eyes and black hair. She was shooting the bow as fast as she was pulling. She looked very familiar. Yurie was looking at me excitedly. The girl turned to look at us and I realized it was my old friend Emerald. She looks over and she gasps. She runs over and hugs Yurie and I. "Why are you hugging me! I see you every day!" Yurie says. "I'm hugging both of you." Emra simply tells us. "Can't breathe!" I say. "Sorry. How are you Blue?" She asks. "I'm good" I had another reunion with a friend and walked back into the first room. Jessica was still there and she was still running around with a clipboard. She was looking at monitors and flipping through cameras. She looked back at the door and walked briskly towards Mousie. "Ma'am, we have spotted movement outside of the tree and we don't know who it is" she said. She looked at me. "Hey Blue. How are you. I'm sorry for hurting you, it had to be done though." I simply nodded and she looked happy. "Make sure the guards are guarding the entrance." Mouse says. I see a girl in a pink dress walk towards us. "Hey guys!" She says. She looks around at us and makes the connections. "New eights huh. I'm Jen. I'm the Eight of Poison. Welcome" she said. I looked at the clock on the wall. "Oh! It is already 10:00! Let me show you to your rooms!" Jen said. Jena and Sammg were chatting a off to the side. Jena doing most of the talking. Jen led us through many hallways until we opened a door. It looked like military bunks. "Boys get one side and girls get the other. There are bathrooms there, there, and there." She said pointing. I choose my bunk and Shelby had the bunk under me. We went by roommates at the hut. I went to the bathroom and got a cup of water. I put it on the mattress of the top bunk and started to make it fly around the room. I got to tired to do magic so I ended up falling asleep. What I saw in my dream terrified me beyond belief. Katie was killing my friends one by one. Each one she killed hurt me more and more until she reached me. Everything went black.
