The Master of the Elements

Melanie's P.O.V

Everyone had walked in and I noticed a few things. The red head boy got very angry very easily. That may be why he is the fire holder. The red head girl loves nature so that could be why she is the plants eight. I saw the dark haired ice girl looking over at me a few times and one time I actually turned my head to look back at her. She quickly looked away. I got up and went to go get more water when someone came up behind me, three people came up behind me to be exact. I turned around and saw the three girls. "Hi!" I heard the red head say very cheerfully. I looked at her and realized how much she looks like Katie. I look away as a tear fell down my face. I turn back around and I waves a tiny bit and the girls smiled. "I'm Shelby" I froze what I was doing and looked down. I look down and felt the picture with katie in my hoodie. "Hi I'm Aphmau" the girl with dark hair said. "I'm Lizzy" I looked around for a napkin or a piece of paper. I stopped. I can't let anyone break down my walls again or I will just get hurt. I continue on my walk to the fridge and I filled up my cup with water. "Who's this?" I turn around and saw the red haired girl looking at the picture of Katie and I smiling. I drop my cup in surprise. I quickly catch the cup and set it down on a counter. I hold out my hand as if asking for the photo back and she gives it to me. I look down and another tear is about to Falk down my face. I stuff my hand in my pocket along with the photo, turn around, and wipe the tear away. They seem like nice people. I turn around and look in there eyes. All I see is compassion and kindness. But people can change. I walk back to the table and they follow me. I got out the photo with Katie and I and started to write on it. The friend that betrayed me. "What is your name?" I don't do anything. I stopped using my name long ago. Hmm, I could get them to call me by a nickname. I got a piece of paper and wrote down the word Blue. "Blue huh... pretty name!" Shelby said. "We want to be your friend." Lizzy said. I dropped the pencil that was in my head and widened my eyes though they couldn't see it. I ran outside and I accidentally left the photo on the table and I see the girls looking at it. Aphmau looked at Shelby and so did LizzyinThey were making the connection. Everytime I see Shelby I see Katie. Shelby looks out in my direction. I saw everyone looking at the door surprised. I looked back out into the woods and started to walk around. I found a small pond and I sat down next to it. I took my hand with the ring out of my pocket and waved it around. All I could think of was Katie so the water ended up making a statue of her. I heard rustling in the leaves so I brought my hand down and all the water went back into place. I turned to where the rustling was coming from and saw Shelby walk out. She looked at me with sad eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't know" she said sadly. I just turned around and grabbed an almost perfect oval rock. I threw it across the water and it skipped three times before sinking. I stood up and started walking back to the hut. I was calmed down. I nodded at her to signal that I forgave her and she sighed in relief. We went back to the hut and I drank the glass of water. The hut door was suddenly opened and I saw a girl who looked a bit older then us walk in. I looked at her and made some connections. The strawberry hair, the sense of style, it was Katie but she looked a few years older. She looked around and her eyes landed on me. She saw the photo and walked over. Once she saw what was written on the photo I saw tears come to her eyes. She came over to me and when she put her hand on my shoulder I flinched. She backed away and she looked around. "Everyone seems to be here. We need to start training." Shelby went to stand in front of me and asked her the same question I was thinking. "What are you doing here?" "I am the first eight" Wait? What! "Right... So what is your power?" Aphmau asked confused. "I can see the future, the past, the present, anywhere and everywhere. I can also manipulate light in the area so people can see other people." She did something with her hand and I saw the younger version of her. I looked at her and flinched. "I'm so sorry, it had to be done or else you would have never become an eight." I grabbed the picture and threw it at her it stopped short and landed in front of the four guys and they saw. They looked at her again. "We need to start training soon. First how about we do a bonding exercise." She told us to all sit in the circle. "We will all say our name, power, and something about ourselves. I will go first. Hi, my name is Katie, I told you my power, I love to roleplay as frisk from Undertale." As soon as she said Undertale you could hear a squeal from the red head boy. Sunglass person went next. "Hi, I'm Sky, I can control air, I love to play pranks." Next was Aphmau. "I'm Aphmau, I can control Ice, I can be very sassy." Lizzy was next. "I'm Elizabeth but call me Lizzy, I can cast spells, I know how to hack. Brown haired boy went. "Hi I'm Joel, I can control Shadows, I have been trapped in a burning building as a kid." Shelby went. "Hi! I'm Shelby , I control plants, I love to draw! Redhead went next. "Max, Fire, I get very angry very easily, don't call me Mad Max." Hmmm. Narwhal boy went. "I'm Ross, I control Earth, I have a chicken in my backpack." I listened closely and sure enough I did hear a chicken. "Thunder Muffin come out!" A chicken jumped out of his bag and walked over to Ross. It was my turn. Everyone was looking at me but I did not say anything. "Let me help." I heard Katie say. "Call her Blue, She controls water, she used to live in an orphanage until she escaped and moved to a tree." I looked at her wondering how she got all of that information. "Remember I can see anything and everything in the past present or future, but don't worry I didn't look so far back to see your face and I won't. You want no one to know and no one will know." That's very kind of her. I nod my thank you and people just stared at her. "Ok! Let's go outside to practice summoning your skill." Katie says happily.
