Melanie's P.O.V

I just woke up and looked over to see Shelby still asleep. I would not expect her to be up anyways. I look out of the window in the room and see that the sun is still not up. I get out of bed and walk out of my room. I walk downstairs and I go over to the table. When I sit down I hear a voice. "What are you doing up so early?" I turn around and looked at Katie. I shrug and turn back around. I stand up and walk to the Cabinet. I get a cup and fill it with water. I go outside and practice with my powers for a bit. When I'm done I walk inside and see that Shelby has woken up and was sitting on a chair. She looked well rested and ready for training. We were waiting for the other people to wake up so I decided to fix breakfast. I went over to the pantry and got some pancake mix. I fixed Blueberry pancakes for everyone. Aphmau and Lizzy walked down the stairs and Sky followed behind them. Max came down around thirty minutes later and Ross still was not up. Sky looked like he was thinking of something and Max looked like he wanted some pancakes. Lizzy, Shelby, and Apau were talking and Katie was writing something down in a notebook. Sky came up to me and asks me if there is any whip cream. I know where this is going so I grab the whip cream and walk to Ross's room. I stand in the door frame and I watch as Sky puts the whip cream on Ross's hand and tickles his nose. Ross goes to scratch his nose and wakes up. "What the Heck!" Ross screamed surprised. Sky was doubled over in laughter and I was still sitting silently in the door frame. I walk out of the room and Sky follows me. After a few minutes Ross comes down the stairs. I pass the pancakes around and we eat a good breakfast. Katie comes over and tells us what we are doing today. "We will be fighting Melee and Magic to test your Everyone finishes there pancakes and walks outside. We form the circle that we were in yesterday and we got paired in groups of two. "Lizzy and Aphmau" "Max and Sky" "Shelby and Ross" "Blue and Joel" So im with Joel, he has Shadows. We went in the order that she said our names so Lizzy and Shelby fought first. We all spread out to make the circle bigger and they make their shields. The first person to touch the other persons shield with magic wins. Lizzy built her shield out of electricity and Aphmau out of ice. "Three! Two! One! Go!" Lizzy mumbles something and lightning shoots out of the wand. Aphmau shoots ice back at her but her ice starts to melt. When she realized this was happening she shot a ray of ice below Lizzy's feet and Lizzy slipped. Aphmau got her ice to touch the shield and won. Next was Shelby and Ross. They set up their shields and started. Shelby shot two vines, one out of each hand. The one on the left hand has flicking rocks away from her shield. The right hand was growing more vines at a rapid pace. Her left hand looked like it was getting tired while Ross kept on flicking the rocks not noticing the vines creeping up on him. Shelby's vines are now long enough to strike so she brings one down and it just misses the wall and scaring Ross. She brings down more and one finally touches the wall. "Shelby!" Aphmau and Lizzy yelled. Max and Sky take their places. When they have the shields up they start the fight. Sky starts to make the wind howl and us and Shelby creates a small building to keep us safe. The wind is whipping around everyone and I feel a tug on my hoodie. My eyes widen and I grab my hood just in time, but not fast enough to save some hair getting loose. Shelby looks around to see if everyone is ok as I put my hair back in the hoodie. Max is having trouble standing up against the wind and his fire is about to go out from to much wind. He lifts his hand up and his fire is roaring again. He pushes one hand forward and up to steadily create walls. I saw Sky trying to create a ball of wind to hit Max's shield when he realizes what Max is doing. When he creates another wall Sky shoots the air towards Max and the fire is gone. Sky won. It was me vs Joel now. We got our shield ready and as soon as Katie said go I held both hands out in front of me and shot water around Joel to confuse him. As he was fighting trying to get the water circling him away I was traveling to that pond in my mind. I looked back to reality to see him trying to get shadows to touch my shield. I defend them off with some water and shot more water at him. I went back to the pond and held my hand up. I saw the water start to rise and go towards us. It was going slowly since it was such a large quanitiy of water but it should be here soon as long as I keep my mind to it and Joel busy. I saw Shelby look in the way of the pond and gasp. I looked over there and saw the big bubble filled with water traveling here. I needed to keep Joel busy for a bit longer. Shelby still had the vine building up so I put some water in front of it so they could still see and hear but not get wet. I saw the Shadow of the bubble passing over the hut and Joel saw it as well. He looked over there and looked back at me shocked. The water was over us now so I created a circular shield around me and dropped the water. For a few moments everything was peaceful but now there is just a flood. I saw Joel getting swept away so I used a big hand made out of water and grab him. I lifted all the water back up and everything was suddenly dry. It went back to the pond and Joel was still in the air because of the hand. I put down the shield in front of the vine building and everyone had shocked expressions on there face. Katie started clapping and everyone joined along. I put Joel down and bowed since I technically won. I saw someone else in the shadows so I grabbed them with the water hand and brought her towards us. "Bravo, Bravo, Such a powerful eight." I recognized her and Katie looked terrified. It was Tiff. The girls looked shocked and the boys got in a fighting stance. "I'm not here to fight... I am here for her" she said pointing at me. "Water can be the difference between life.... and death. She can cause the end of the human race. I want her on my side." I shook my head no. She just laughed and disappeared. "Let's go inside" Katie said quickly. We went inside and sat at the table. I had a cup of water and swirled it around in a pattern. It was a something I saw carved into a tree. "Where did you see that!" Katie asked me surprised. I put the water into the shape of a tree. "Ok!" She seemed excited. I got a wave of exhaustion and the bit of water fell down out of the sky onto me. I was about to try to stand up but when I did I fell right back down. Everyone surrounded me say things I could not hear. Katie and Shelby had incredibly worried faces and Lizzy was looking through her book. Everything was going black around the edges and suddenly, it all went black.
