There on top of the hill at the end of the long never ending driveway was the most beautiful house I've ever seen.
It looked Victorian, but it also looked a bit colonel and castle like with a modern edge look to it as well and it screamed elegance. We all ran into the huge house and looked around at one of our new homes.
The living room was gorgeous and had a great view of the backyard which had a pool. The kitchen was the most fabulous thing I've ever see, it was a chefs dream and it even had a pizza oven, but what really took my breath away was the view of the lake and forest.
We all went upstairs and on the bedroom door's was the crest of each of our families, I found mine and opened the door, what I saw made me hit my knees and left me speechless.
Hard wood floors that were a dark brown, lavender colored walls with a lovely gold border, a huge canopy bed, black and purple chandelier, light and royal blue carpets at the bed, mirror, and doors, the ceiling was painted royal blue and it had gold flecks, and there was a set of French doors that lead to the balcony and I opened them and looked out side and my little balcony had a bunch of flowers and had a lovely little outside furniture set with candles.
It was a splendid place to read a book and drink a glass of sweet tea or now maybe some blood. I walked back in to my room and there was two more doors on the left side of the room.
I opened the one to the left and it was a huge walk-in closet, I walked all the way down it marveling at the wonderful clothing and there was a bookcase with a note on it, I read the note: Pull the white book with gold writing-H.
I did as the note said and the bookcase slide to the right and I walked through my little secret passage way and I walked out and there was my own secret library and study, there were so many books and I couldn't wait to read them.
I walked back to the closet and walked out to go look in the other room. It was my bathroom it had a huge shower and a jacuzzi, there was even a TV and stereo system in it. I marvelled at the marble floor and walls. I looked at my reflection and marvelled at it too as I wasn't quite used to my new looks.
I walked down to the kitchen and the others were already there, having done finished looking at their custom masterpieces.
"Brittany we're hungry make us some food." said Vanessa knowing I'd be willing to cook.
"I got one better for you, let's go to Texas Roadhouse." I said thinking about a nice juicy rare steak.
"Okay that sounds great." said Katie smiling.
We drove to Texas Roadhouse and we got cheese fries with bacon, the sampler, and fried pickles as an appetizer. Katie and I were the only ones who ordered a salad with are steak the others got either a baked potato or green beans and more cheese fries.
Most of them got a 8 oz. Steak while Elizabeth and I got the biggest steak they had. Us being hybrids we don't fill up as fast as the other species when they feed, and since are last meal was three days ago this is the first we've eaten since Carlisle showed us how to feed on animals.
"What day is it I forgot." I said remembering that I forgot to call my mom. I quickly grabbed my phone.
"Tuesday." said Chelsea scrolling through her phone and posting pictures of the food she had.
"Ah shit man my mom is going to murder me." I said looking at my phone and seeing I have 20 missed calls and 3 voice messages and that my phone was on silent.
I turned the volume up and handed the waiter my black card, within 5 minutes he was back and I tipped him $100, the look on his face was the most priceless I've ever seen.
As we got in the car I called my mom and told everyone to be vwery quite I'm hunttin wabbits, they snickered and shushed as my mom answered.
"Brittany what took you so long to call back?" She said clearly pissed but I could tell she was around people, mainly because I could hear them but also because she wasn't yelling at me.
"I forgot to turn my phone up after the flight, I'm sorry mama " I said, my accent coming through strongly.
"It's okay, how's Italy?" My mom asked a bit more calmly, she didn't know I was back in the states even though it doesn't matter because I was going back.
"It's great mama, all the historic places are wonderful." I said trying my hardest to not sound amused at her sudden mood change.
"Well have fun I have to get back to work, love you." she said sounding as if she was going to cry because this is the longest we've been apart from one another since I was born.
"Love you too mommy." I said holding back tears while hanging up.
"Dude are you crying?" Asked Katie looking concerned because she knew how it felt to be away from her mom.
"Yeah, this is the longest we've been apart, but hey let's be happy and jam!" I said while turning the volume up as one of my favorite songs played, Jekyll and Hyde by Five Finger Death Punch filled our ears.
We arrived back at the house and proceeded to pack up are things and some of our new clothes. We left and headed to the airport, boarded the plane and sat in first class. After the flight was 30 minutes in I was bored of hearing people talk, I put my ear buds in and dozed off listening to Animals by Maroon 5.
The flight landed and what was waiting for us at the airport was hilarious.
