Chapter 17: Light in the Dark

Jasper's POV
I was walking around getting ready to go to the library to find some books when I heard a lot of banging as if someone were throwing things.

I walked faster and as I did I began to feel this persons anger and sadness. The closer I got the louder the sounds and the more intense the emotions. I finally arrived at my small destination, it was Brittany's room.

I knocked but she didn't answer. I finally walked in after a few more tries and there she was standing by her bed crying getting ready to throw a lamp.

I sent her calming and sleepy waves to help her. She fell on her bed backwards. I zoomed over and fixed her up in her bed. I tucked her in and I started to clean up a bit, as I was doing this I found some books.

One I found was a history book and the other was a fashion magazine, I grabbed the history book and sat in a chair next to Brit's bed and I began to read. She had a few things marked off in it.

A few things about Native American wars with the US Calvary were marked and some stuff about the civil war and some more random subjects. The little lady liked her history.

I put the book down and thought of texting Alice to come here and just as I got done thinking it here she came through the door.

"I want to buy her some things." I said looking at my small lovely mate.

"I do too, I already feel like I have a maternal bond towards her. She's so much like me and you personality wise." said my wife, that hopefully after are session of sexy time earlier today after Brit gave us the amulets and about thirty minutes ago, has been blessed with small little creatures half me and the woman I love.

"I feel the same. I feel a strong fatherly bond with her. She might be more like me than you, but we'll wait and see. How are you feeling sweetheart?" I said getting up and giving my mate a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

"I feel wonderful, now let's go look online for things to by her" Alice said dragging me out of the room.

"Alright little darlin" I said flashing a smile at her and we walked back to our room. I got on the laptop that I packed and went looking for some western wear, I bought Brit some button up shirts, boot cut jeans, a cowboy hat, and a pair of cowboy boots.

I looked over at Alice to see what she bought Brit. She bought her a bunch of leather clothes, leather boots, books, and a 69' Ford Mustang Boss 429. I looked at her and asked "How do you know she will like the car?"

"It's her dream car, Edward told me about it for future reference." she said grinning, she must of had this planned for a few days.

"And what's with all the leather?" Wondering why it she bought so much.

"To go with her new cool ride and while you weren't looking I left a note and some stuff in her room. You'll see why in a few hours." She said grinning even wider if that was even possible, I even started to feel giddy.

Brittany's POV
I woke up and I rolled over, I saw a shinny glint and I had to blink a few times to make it out. There was a key, a note, and some black leather clothes.

I read the note and there was a surprise out front and that I had to put the clothes on in order to use it. So I got up went in to my bathroom and took a shower, I got out and put my undergarments on and my leather clothes.

There were even a pair of shades and some leather jewelry. I'll have to thank Alice for my badass wardrobe later.

I grabbed the keys and looked at it. The brand name on it was shocking, it read Harley Davidson, I squealed like a little school girl. I put the rest of my things on and looked at my self in the mirror.

I looked like a dominatrix, I stood there and laughed at my self. I ran out of the room to find everyone in the throne room talking about something and I skipped over to where Alice and Jasper were standing and hugged Alice tightly and thanked her.

Everyone turned around and looked at me and I saw Caius's jaw drop a bit and I blushed. Everyone followed me outside and there was the motorcycle, all nice and shinny and new. I got on it, put the keys in and took it for a spin.

Caius's POV
Fuucckk, when I saw her, I knew my jaw dropped and I know she saw because she blushed. I wanted to be alone with her and show her how much I loved her. I watched her as she walked out and as she drove away, I felt like a part of me left with her. I went back inside and the one they call Jasper walked over to me.

"You love her don't you?" He asked smirking.

"I don't know how I feel about her." I said sadly but kept my appearance guarded.

"Ask Marcus to look at your bonds, I bet you'll be surprised as to what he'll say." Jasper said and he chuckled.

"I think I will, I was bound to do it sooner or later." I said as I left him and went to go see my brother.

I walked into his study and he looked at me smiling, something I haven't seen him do for a very long time, since his mate, his love, the love of all loves, died.

"Marcus have I found the one? My angel? The one to make my undead heart feel as though it was beating again? Have I found her?" I asked, part of me hating myself and the other loving every bit of her.

"Yes, you have found her. But you'll have your take your time with her. She's still young and she may not seem like it but she's old fashioned. Her heart is easy to break. She's already like a daughter to me brother. She has brought me joy with all her crazy antics." Marcus said seriously but with a lot of joy in his red eyes.

For one I think our dark and dreary home may become lighter with her around.

"Thank you brother." I said as I walked away to go to my art studio to think. Painting was my way of therapy, while the others usually used violence, I preferred something more peaceful.
