~Devin POV
I feel like there's something wrong happening, is late, almost 3㏂ and Selah is not back, I thought she was coming home after what happened in the party, by the way, I broke up with Skylar, she is such a bitch for doing that to Selah and knowing she couldn't fight back because she would go back to Juvie.
I was currently waiting in the living room with mom, she's upset, I can tell she is quiet and looking to the window, waiting for Selah's car to pull up. Her phone rings breaking the silence.
"Yes this is her" she stayed quiet as the person in the other side of the phone talked. She gasped and I stood up and walked to her. "What happened?!?!?! " she semi-yelled. "Yeah I'll be there right now " she said hanging up the phone and standing up walking to her room.
"Mom what happened? " I said as I saw her putting a coat over her pajamas.
"Selah, she had a car accident she's in the hospital Devin!" She panicked. I rushed to my room and put my Nike slides on and my black coat, I took my phone and walked back to mom's room, she was waking dad up, telling him to get ready and that we are going to the hospital, she pointed to Jazzy's room as they rushed. I did the same and woke Jazzy up.
"Devin, what's wrong with you? What time is is?" She said rubbing her eyes.
"Who cares Selah is in the hospital"
"What?!?!" She stood up and rushed to get ready.
We all ran downstairs and jumped in the car. Dad was driving and mom was praying as a few tears escaped her eyes. Jazzy was next to me and she is crying bad, I hugged her and tried to calm her down telling her that Selah will be okay, she is part of the family and all of us are sad about all this.
We parked in the hospital parking lot, and rushed in. As soon as we were inside, a nurse greeted us, "is this Selah Hazel's family?" She said.
"Yes I'm her Foster mom" mom said.
"She is in critical condition" she started and mom held dad tight and Jazzy started crying again as I held her, I was about to cry too, but I wanted to hold it in until I was alone. "She has a broken leg, she has deep rasps, and she hit the back of her head really bad, causing a brain damage, she might be in a coma for days, weeks or maybe even-" I cut her off.
"Don't even say it, she'll wake up" I said and the lady nodded and walked away. We all walked to the waiting room, we saw Kevin and Maria's family too, they were all crying, I guess they are pretty hurt too, we went to them and hugged everyone, I sat down in between Shari who was crying really bad and Aaron, Maria's brother, he looked straight to the halls and his eyes we're red and puffy. I put my head down and start crying, I don't want to loose them, Kevin is my brother, Maria is one of my best friends, and Selah, she is so important to me, and I can't believe this had to happen for me to realize that I like her for more than a friend.
This is so sad 😭😭 Selaaaaaah ily best friend I'm in tears. I hope y'all like it.
