My first day in Pennsylvania started off okay. My mom had to wake me up this morning. "Sweetheart. Wake up you're going to be late!" My Mom yelled. "I'm up." I yell. I put on my clothes and grab my book bag. After that, I walk to school with my older brother Brian.

At school:
I went to the school's office to get my schedule, locker combination and books. I put my book bag in my locker and hurried to my first class which was history. I ran through the door out of breath. "I made it." I said, breathing in and out. Everyone was staring at me.
"Oh hi, I'm Mia Schmidt." I said, with a smile on my face. Some people start laughing. "What's with that hair?" A girl asks. I look at my hair. It was dark blond with light blonde highlights because I dyed it wrong.
"I dyed it wrong, what's your excuse." I said, glaring at the girl who said it. She just stares at me. "Welcome new girl. I'm Autumn Cooper." Said a girl with glasses. "Hi." I said. "Since Eric isn't here yet. You can sit in the front next me." She said. "Thank you." I said.
I took my seat. I put my book and pencil on my desk. "So who's Eric?" I ask. "The teacher" Autumn replied, like I ask a stupid question. "Why do you call the teacher by his first name?" I ask. "It's an Eric thing." Autumn said, like that explained everything. "I see." I said so my first friend is a weird girl.
Great. A guy walks in dressed in normal clothes. He writes on the board. "What's the difference between a leader and a follower?" He asks. I guess this must be Eric. I look around. Nobody raised their hand. "So nobody did their homework?" Eric asks. Autumn raises her hand.
"I did, sir." Autumn said. "Glasses what's the answer." Eric asked. "My name is Autumn, sir." Autumn explained. "Oh yeah, you're the new kid right?" Eric said. "No, that's her. I'm Autumn the only person who pays attention in class." Autumn explained.
