Mia took a deep breath and walked in after them. "Hey Kai." Braidy said. "Hey. I just love it here." Kai replied. "I can tell." Braidy said which made Ethan laugh. "You won't be laughing when you see cupcake. I ain't seen a horse like that before."
Ethan stopped laughing and looked at him oddly. "What do you mean?" Ethan asked a little confused. Kai pointed to the TV and they saw videos of cupcake last year. She had knocked and stepped on most of them.
"No. Mia no. I want you to stay away from her. I mean it." Braidy said turning around to look at Mia. "I tried to tell you two. This ain't going to be easy." Mia explained. "Mia this doesn't sound cool or fun anymore. Let's go now and forget about this whole thing." Braidy explained.
"Braidy...I." Mia said. "No Mia listen. I saw cupcake and the last thing I want to see is you hurt. Now come on." Braidy said grabbing Mia's arm.
He was starting to pull her to the exit. Which Mia didn't want at all. Ethan stopped him. "Hey I get you're scared for her, but let her do her thing. I trust Mia. She's strong." Ethan said trying to convince Braidy to let Mia stay.
He didn't like the idea either, but he wanted Mia to be happy also. "Come on tell him Mia. Can't you ride this thing." Ethan said looking at Mia. "No she can't. I know her. She can't do this." Braidy argued. "Yes she can. Kai tell Mia she's going to be fine." Ethan said. Kai who was watching the whole thing just gave a thumbs up.
Braidy glared at him.
"The truth Kai."
"It was nice knowing you." Kai said walking off. "I believe in you Mia. I always watched you. I know a little, but I know you can do this. You always try hard and never give up." Ethan said smiling at her. Braidy who couldn't stand Ethan putting this stuff in Mia's head finally spoke up.
"How can you say you love her, but you're letting her do this?" Braidy asked. "Braidy can you let go of my arm." Mia said. "Oh yeah sorry." Braidy said letting go. Mia rubbed her arm. "I'm glad you care Braidy, but Ethan right. I have to do this." Mia explained. Braidy sighed.
"Fine, but if you get hurt. Just know I'm not taking care of you." Braidy said crossing his arms. He was really angry with Mia decision. Before Mia could replay Autumn walked in with Brian. "One more and then it's your turn." Autumn said. "Hope you win." Brian said smiling.
"Me too." Mia muttered.
They went back to watching Tv. "Are you out of your mind?" Braidy asked. "Nope." Mia replied. "Hey who taught you horseback ridding in the first place?" Ethan asked.
"Kai." Mia replied. They looked at Kai who was acting like he couldn't see them looking.
Tv:
"Now for what we all been waiting for. Mia Schmidt on Cupcake."
Mia put her hat on and started walking out. "Mia please just turn around." Braidy said. Mia turned around. "If you walk out of here. I will take back all the stuff I said to you especially liking you."
Mia couldn't believe Braidy was doing this. She didn't say anything. "Braidy. Don't do that. Don't hurt Mia like that." Ethan said behind her. Braidy looked at him. "I'm not going to let her get hurt over some stupid competition." Braidy explained.
"This isn't a stupid competition. I been waiting my whole life for this. I'm going to ride Braidy and you can't stop me." Mia said. "Fine it's over." Braidy said walking out.
"Fine." Mia agreed. Mia walked out too with Ethan following. "Do you want me to go get him?" Ethan asked his hands in his pockets. "No I need someone to watch me." Mia explained. "Okay let's go." Ethan said holding out his hand.
Mia grabbed it and they walked over to Cupcake. Mia got on top of cupcake. "You can do this!" Ethan shouted. "You're going to die!" Alex shouted. "Alex!" Autumn shouted. "Live I mean live!" Alex shouted. "It's time for the moment of truth." The guy on the microphone said. "Please just do this for me cupcake." Mia whispered.
Everyone started clapping and they let Mia go. She jumped over a couple obstacles before Cupcake went crazy, knocking Mia to the ground. Ethan jumped the gate and ran to Mia who was still laying down. "Mia! Mia! Can you hear me?" Ethan asked holding up Mia. "See I didn't die. Lucky me." Mia muttered weakly.
"See I told you." Ethan said smiling. "Yeah you did." Mia said smiling. "Goals!" Kai shouted. Mia blushed. "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls we actually had someone ride cupcake for more than 20 minutes and unhurt." The announcer said.
They crowd started clapping and Mia got up. The others ran over to her. "Mia you won!" Kai shouted hugging her. "That's not funny Kai." Mia replied. Kai let go and pointed at the big screen. "No look." Kai said. The screen said winner of the horse competition Mia Schmidt.
"I did it!" Mia shouted.
