It was time for school so I got ready. Today was the day I'm trying out for the baseball team and I want to make a great first impression.

Hallway:
I was in the hall putting my stuff away when the bell rang. I went to history class. I walked into the classroom and took my seat. A few minutes later Mr. Matthews showed up.

We didn't learn that much except that if you try you can accomplish anything whatever that meant.

Mr. Matthews let us go on our phones so I watch baseball. "Didn't know you were into baseball." Braidy said.

"Yeah, well I admire it." I said.

"How good are you?" Braidy asks. "I never got a strike in my life, I have scored every base I ran and I made probably over 100 home runs." I said.

"Impressive." He said. I went back to watching baseball. After that it was lunchtime. Of course I pack a lunch. We sat down and just chatted, but I wasn't focused I was thinking about baseball.

After lunch it was art. "I want you to be creative think about what's on your mind." Miss. Moore said. I drew a person playing baseball.

After school was over I went to the baseball field. "A girl!" The coach yelled as I approach. "I would like to try out." I stated. They began to laugh.

"What's so funny?" I ask. "You're a girl." The one boy said. I rolled my eyes. "So." I said. "Girls don't play baseball." The coach said. "But..." I started to say, but was cut off seriously people stop cutting me off. "If we ever need a cheerleader will come get you. Now leave!" The coach yelled.

"This is not fair. I'll show them girls can do anything boys can do because I'm Mia and I don't give up I try like Shakira." I said to myself.

I went home and sorted out a plan. "What are you doing?" Brian asks. "Figuring out a plan to get on the baseball team." I said. "Well, good luck with that." Brian said.

"You do believe in me right?" I ask. "I'm sorry sis, but baseball is just not for girls." Brian said, but then realized what he said. "I should've lied shouldn't I?" Brian asks.

"Yup, you should've now get out!" I yelled. He hurried out of my room I plopped my head on the bed if my brother doesn't think I can do it why will everyone else. After I finished my plan someone rang the doorbell.

"Mia it's Alex!" Brain yelled. I walked downstairs. "Oh hey Alex." I said. "We were wondering if you would like to come to the froyo place with us." Alex ask. "Sure." I said.

After I ran upstairs to get my phone, Alex and I left. "Your brother is kind of cute." Alex said. "My brother you're talking about that person in my house." I said. "Yeah your brother." She said dreamily. "Sorry honey, but there is no way you're becoming my sister." I said.
