I was playing truth or dare with Braidy, Autumn, Alex, Jessamine and Brain while my mom read a book.
It was my turn when someone knocks on the door. Nobody got up. Mom looks at us. "I guess. I'll answer the door." Mom said. She put her book on the table and walked to the door. She opened the door. "Hey Abbs." I heard Eric say.
I look at the door. Eric was standing with a shovel, flashlight and a light blue shirt that said Shovel.
Why does he have a shovel and a flashlight. Wait, it's Eric I'm talking about. "Hey Eric. Why do you have a shovel and flashlight?" Mom asked.
"I'm going to dig into my old teacher/neighbor's yard to get a memory box." Eric explained like that was a normal thing that people do. "Oh, okay." Mom said. "Can I come in?" Eric asked.
"Sure." Mom agreed. Eric walk in and mom closed the door. He walks over to us. "Hey guys. I got a surprise for you." Eric said. "What's that?" I ask.
"We're going on a field trip." Eric explained. "What?! When? I haven't even packed." Autumn said. "Oh, you won't need to pack for this field trip." Eric said. Alex looks at him.
"What are you planning Matthews?" Alex asks. "Nothing bad. You're just coming with me and my two best friends to get our memory box." Eric said. "Awesome we're going with you. Do we get to dig too?" Braidy said.
"I'm not going if I have to dig. I might break a nail and do you know how much money it cost to do my nails. No thanks." Jessamine said. "Yeah, sure. You just don't want to go because you have to do work and queen Jessamine can't stand that. Can she." Alex said.
"Don't start it tomboy." Jessamine said. "That's enough, you two." Brian said. "Fine." They said together. "Anyway, what do you mean by your two best friends?" Autumn asks. "Shauna should know what I'm talking about. After all, one of them has the male version of your nickname." Eric said.
"You don't mean....." Alex said. That's when someone knocks. "Who's that?" Mom asked. "Cory best friend." Eric answered. He doesn't mean.
The door opens and Shawn and another guy walk in. "I cams as fast as I could. Is Alexandra okay? What did the doctor say. I knew I shouldn't have brought her that skateboard." Shawn said. "And are you alright buddy. I heard you have only a few days to live. Let's go right now and do all the things on your bucket list." The guy said. We look at Eric.
"I'm guessing these are your two best friends." I said. "Of course. I'm Jack Hunter. Alexandra should know me." Jack said. "Of course. I know you. Your uncle Jack. Eric told me stories about you." Alex said. Shawn walks over to Alexandra and examines her.
"You look alright. Where's your cast isn't your arm broken?" Shawn asks. We look at Eric. Who didn't say anything. "Okay, I don't know what's going on here, but Alexandra and Eric are fine. He lied to you two." Mom explained.
