Living room - Table:

"How did you kill Clara?!"

"Like I said. I didn't do it." Autumn replied. "Yeah sure you didn't. Eric start eating." I said. "Got it." Eric said.

He started munching on a cracker. Autumn started moving uncomfortably. "Do you have to eat with your mouth open? My father told me you can get sick by that." Autumn explained.

"If you tell us what you did to Clara. I'll tell Eric to stop." I explained."I didn't do anything." Autumn said. "Eric." I said. Eric started munching louder.

"Okay fine just please close your mouth." Autumn begged. I looked at Eric. "You can close your mouth now Mr. Matthews thanks." I explained.

Eric nodded and closed his mouth. Autumn sighed in relief. "Now tell us." I said. "Fine it happened last Saturday. I was at my mother's work place. We were testing things in a bowl and I accidentally spilled some of the chemicals in her bowl. It was supposed to make things live longer, but it killed her instead. I didn't mean to do it. I loved Clara just like everyone else. I'm sorry Mia." Autumn admitted.

"It's okay Autumn. It was accident. Well I guess that's it. We found out Hoo dun it." I said. "But I didn't kill this Clara. I killed the last one. That Clara was the one I replaced. I went to the pet store before school started on Monday and brought a new fish. Did you know all of those fish look alike?" Autumn said.

"Yeah we went there remember." I said. "Oh yeah." Autumn said. "So if you didn't kill this Clara then who did?" I said talking to myself. "Oh oh I know one of my students." Eric said.

I sighed.

"Just bring Braidy here." I said.

"So I'm free to go?" Autumn asked. "I guess so." I replied. "Yay." Autumn cheered. She got up and went back to my room. Eric followed behind her.

A few minutes later Eric came back with Braidy. "Take a seat fish killer." I said. "That's one way to get my attention Cow girl, but I really prefer pretty boy or maybe babe." Braidy said.

"This is no time for flirting Braidy. You killed this Clara." I said. He sat down. "I didn't kill her. Didn't you do it." Braidy replied. "Don't give me that Braidy. I know you killed. Why you do it?" I said.

"I didn't do anything." Braidy replied.

Eric slammed his hands-on the table.

"Spill the beans!" Eric shouted.

"What does that even mean?" I asked. "It's from the show he watched with Auggie." Braidy explained. "Oh." I said. "You aren't very smart. Are you cow girl. I guess that's what makes you cute." Braidy said. I blushed.

"Really?" I asked. "Yeah kinda like right now. Your eyes are sparkling when the light hits you. Makes me want to look at them every day." Braidy flirted.

I stop zoning out after that line. "You're just trying to get out of this. I may like you, but it's not going to work. Now spill the beans!" I said.
