Braidy turned to me. "Guess I should have asked before, but I thought since we have the same feelings for each other I didn't have to ask."
"Braidy." I muttered.
"I got to go. Good luck at being home by yourself." Braidy said before walking away. "Alex." I said. "Now what is Mia going to do?" Alex asked.
Bay Window - Semi formal night
"Help me Alex. What am I going to do?" I asked. "I don't know. This is a new one for me." Alex replied. I heard knocking on my door before someone opened it. My mom and Brian walked in. "You been here for a while what are you doing?" Brian asked.
"Mia got asked to the semi formal." Alex answered. "That's great. Braidy finally asked you?" My mom asked. "No he waited and I got asked by Ethan. Ethan Buckley." I explained. "Buckley I met that kid. Nice dude." Brian said.
My mom sat next to me. "If Ethan asked you. Why aren't you dress?" My mom asked. "I lied and said I couldn't go to the semi formal." I explained. "And then Braidy overheard and now Sally doesn't know what to do." Alex said.
"Who's Sally?" My mom asked. "Oh a friend." Alex replied. Brian sat down with us. "Why did you lie?" Brian asked. "Yeah what's wrong with this Ethan guy?" My mom asked. "Nothing he's a nice guy, but when I pictured my semi formal Ethan wasn't in it..." I said. "Braidy was." Alex finished.
"Oh don't you think that hurts Ethan's feelings?" My mom asked. "I don't think she did anything wrong." Alex replied. "Why?" My mom asked.
"Well I think she's just confused about how she feels. She still learning after all." Alex explained. "Confused? How am I supposed to feel Alex?" I asked. "Don't I like Braidy? Or do I like Ethan."
"You definitely don't like Ethan. You just met him. I just think you don't want to hurt Ethan so you decided not to go in general. You're that type of person." Alex explained. "Oh."
"Go to the formal Mia." My mom said.
"But..." I said.
"You can't hide from your problems Mia. Both Ethan and Braidy are going to be there and you have to make a choice." Brian explained.
"But what if I don't want to?" I asked.
"You don't have no choice. Both your brother and I are going to the formal." My mom explained. "Fine I'll go, but I'm wearing boots instead of high heels." I explained. Everyone laughed.
