After we finished singing it was time for us to leave. "I hate to say this, but I actually enjoy that long train ride." Alex said. We went to my house. My mom opened the door and we went in. She had cake and ice cream on the table.
The cake said welcome back and the ice cream was Hersey chocolate. While we ate, my mom and Eric went into the living room. "It would be so funny if you became related to Eric." Lucy said. "It would, but I would probably be having life lessons every day." I said.
"True." Lucy said. "Hey you know what else would be funny?" I asked. "What?" Autumn asked. "This." I said and threw some ice cream on her. "That was funny." Alex said and threw some cake on me. "Now that was funny." Lucy said and threw some cake on Alex, but accidentally hit it Jessamine.
"Hey! This dress cost two hundred dollars." She said and tried to throw some cake on Lucy, but ended up hitting Kai. "Now that's how it is." He said. He scoop up a handful of ice cream and tried to throw it on Jessamine, but ended up hitting Braidy and Autumn.
"Okay it's on!" They both shouted. We started a cake and ice cream battle. Well that was until my mom and Eric came in. My mom had change her shirt into a turtleneck. "What happened in here?" She asks.
"We have no idea." I said. My mom rolled her eyes playfully. "Well you guys better be lucky that Brian is grounded so he has to clean this up." Mom said. She paused before continuing.
"Now go in the living room because we have some news."
"Okay, but I have a question I thought you hated turtlesnecks." Lucy said. "I do, but it's very comfortable." She lied. "Uh huh." I said not believing her. She blushed and Eric shooed us away.
"What do you think the news is?" Lucy asked. "I don't know." I said. "I'm still on the question as to why your mother is wearing that turtleneck." Braidy said.
We rolled our eyes as mom came in with Eric. "Okay guys I have bad news and good news, which one do you want first?" Mom asked. "Good news." We said. "Okay so Lucy your mom is going on a business trip overseas for three weeks, so I said I will watch the café and you guys will help. She also needs someone to watch you so I said I would." Mom said. Lucy and I hugged.
After we let go, everyone except Lucy and me started complaining about helping at the café. "It counts for your guy's grade." Eric said. We stopped complaining. "Okay guys this is the bad news Eric is running for senate." Mom said. "That's not a bad thing." Eric said.
"Of course not." My mom said. "You're not joking are you?" Alex asked. "Nope I'm serious." Mom said. "But who in their right mind. Would want you to be our senator." Jessamine asked. "The people of stupid town." Alex replied.
