Chapter 5- The Turn

Ivy's POV

Silence and darkness envelop me. Nothing but darkness can be seen by my eyes desperately trying to adjust and find any light. It's like the shadows devoured all of the light, leaving the world eternally dark.

"Hello?" I shout, eagerly straining my ears to pick up the slightest noise near me. Nothing. I scream as something cold brushes up against my leg and twists around it, climbing up my leg to wrap around my torso. Whimpering, I close my eye and hope that this is all a dream. It slithers up my chest to over where my heart is pounding like a drum. I look down and see nothing but darkness still.

No. It can't be.

That's exactly what it is, Darkness. The Queen's Darkness.

I scream again and attempt to move my arms to brush the tendril off of its resting place over my heart, but I can't move. My arms are chained to the ceiling in tight chains that allow only the smallest of movements towards my body. My legs are mummy wrapped together with chains, and I can't separate them.

"Is anyone there?" I try calling out to someone again. No response. Tears start to fall from my eyes and run down my face in thin rivers. Suddenly, the Darkness on my chest dives into my heart, causing me to scream in extreme pain as it flows throughout my whole body, starting to infect me. The pain is overwhelming as the whole of me is fighting to not be changed by the Darkness. I must stay strong. I can not become the perfect heir Cora wants me to be.

I won't.

I struggle against the pain, but it soon is too much and I pass out... again.

Nia's POV

"Why are you doing this Cora?" I shout at her.

"You will be the perfect heir for me that you are meant to be!" She yells back, and the torture begins. It's exactly like last time. The pain is overwhelming, I scream loudly as black spots dance in my vision and the pain seems to last forever.

It's endless.

No relief.

It's corrupting me, quicker than before. I can't hold on.

The pain is worse than last time, and I know it's because Saber is going through the same pain as me and it's flowing through the connection. But, I can't close the connection off. The only thing I can concentrate on is the pain.

I can feel the Darkness pumping venomously through my body and infecting me. I won't be able to last long, I know it. The Darkness wants to be apart of me again, and it won't let me go this time. Once I lose control to the Darkness, that is it. That is the end. I will be gone.

I feel the last parts of myself slipping away as I lose consciousness, drifting away into the void of Darkness...

Saber's POV

Cora uses her Darkness to torture me, and I fill the air with my screams as they mix with Nia's. I feel her pain, and I know she feels mine. Her body is giving up as the Darkness slowly takes over throughout the endless torture. I don't know how long it has been, the only thing that has been visible is the endless walls of Darkness filling the room.

I feel Nia pass out as her body is slowly taken over by Darkness, and I know that Jake's premonition is going to come true soon. There's nothing else that I can do while I am trapped in this inescapable position.

I hate feeling useless.

I seem to follow in Nia's example as the pain takes over and causes me to pass out.

When I wake up, I am lying on the cold floor of a cell.

"Saber! Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Sophia exclaims

"No. Nia is gone. I can feel it." I state, tears stinging my eyes as I try to move my stiff body. I'm in a lot of pain from all of the lacerations covering the entirety of my body.

"What do you mean, by Nia is gone?" Molly asks.

"It's happened, hasn't it?" Jake murmurs. All I can do is nod as tears slowly fall from my eyes.

"What are you guys talking about? You better tell me right now!" Molly roars, bucking against her restraints in anger.

"Molly, calm down. You need to stay calm and control your anger." Sophia says gently, trying to soothe Molly and make her calm down from her anger.

"Jake had a premonition of Ivy and Nia turning evil and killing us all. It is seeming to become true." I explain.

"But one thing I didn't mention is that you, Saber, can rescue Nia, and therefore rescue Ivy." Jake exclaims. I lift my eyebrows in confusion

"Do you mean through our connection, I can somehow save both Nia and Ivy?"

"Yes." Jake confirms "So we have to save at least you."

"I can hide him in the Night element so he can escape when we are leaving the room at some point." Star suggests, and Amy adds

"I can make it seem like Saber is actually with us."

"That'll work." Sophia nods her head. "How about we all try to get some sleep? We'll need rest for whatever is going to happen next." Everyone agrees and we all slip into a deep sleep.

Nia's POV

"Nia, wake up. We have work to do." Cora calls to me. I feel nothing, no emotion. I sit up and stare blankly at her.

"What work do we have to do?" I ask in a dull voice.

"We have to finish your transition."

"How is that done?"

"By disposing of all of your human connections."

"Bloodily?"

"If you want to, then yes."

"Good." I smirk and stand up, following Cora out of the room. This'll be fun.

Ivy's POV

"Come on Ivy, it's time to wake up." I hear Nia command me in an emotionless voice. I open my eyes and sit up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "We have to finish our transition into the heirs to the Dark Earth Throne, come on." I grunt and roll my eyes, not in the mood to go through any boring law stuff. I just want to go back to sleep.

I immediately lie back down and face away from Nia, closing my eyes again.

"It'll be bloody!" She says in a sing-song voice, immediately getting my attention. I wickedly grin and shoot up to my feet.

"When is this happening?" I ask eagerly.

"As soon as possible, that's when." Nia replies, echoing my grin with a cold smile of her own.

"Good."

Angel's POV

I fly to the portal and straight through it, not pausing for a moment. Zooming quickly through the air, I speed towards the Cat Village that Nia and Ivy's aunt and uncle live in. I need their help to try and get King Marcus and Queen Regina's help in getting their daughters out of Cora's evil clutches. Once I arrive at the village, I quickly land and stride through the streets, not stopping for anything or anyone.

I get to my destination and knock on the door and see a familiar face.

"I need your help."

Sup kittens, how you doin? This chapter is a bit crazy, if I do say so myself. Wow, just wow. Nia and Ivy are evil, and just a bunch of crazy stuff has happened. Also, Alaric and Meredith are going to be appearing! Maybe even the Cat King and Queen...
