Chapter 22- The Break

Sabrina's POV

Amaro has been gone for a while, and there's a sinking feeling in my heart that is telling me something bad has happened. I need to check on him, just to make sure he is okay, even though I am probably just being overly worrying. I decide to go to his office and see if he is there.

I walk through the halls calmly, not showing anyone who sees me that anything might be wrong. Heading to Amaro's office, I suddenly stop, because I feel his presence in a room. Ivy's office, to be more precise. What would Amaro be doing in there?

I slowly open the door and peer inside, and what I see shatters my heart. Ivy's hands are on the back of Amaro's head, and his hands are placed on her waist. Their lips are locked in a deep and passionate kiss, and suddenly I feel like I'm going to be sick. Unable to hold it back, a small sob escapes from my mouth, the pain of this betrayal hurting too much to hold my emotions back.

I can't believe Amaro would do this, he is the one that made me really feel again after I thought that I had lost Saber. I thought he loved me. Now... I don't know what to think.

I immediately teleport back to my room, putting up a barrier around it so nobody with Dark Earth powers, other than myself, can enter my room. Then, unable to hold in my emotions for any longer, I have to release the pain and confusion that I have been feeling ever since Saber came back. It's just all been accumulating and building up to an uncontrollable amount. This just pushed it over the edge.

This is my breaking point.

Amaro's POV

"Ivy, I am not going to be with you. I love Sabrina and that's it, that's final. There's nobody else for me." I state, standing up out of the chair. Ivy stands as well and is soon standing right in front of me, tightly clutching onto my shoulders.

"No, Amaro. You just need to experience something new. You will be with me and forget my dreaded sister!" Ivy roughly commands, holding my head in place with her hands and locking my lips into a kiss that I can't break out of. My powers wouldn't affect her, and I can't teleport because she'd come with, since we are touching.

I try to push her away from me by the waist, but she doesn't budge at all. Shockingly, a little sob can be heard from near the door to her office. The bond is pulling at me, indicating that it was Sabrina. I let out a growl and Ivy giggles, loosening her hold. With a final push of force, I am able to detach Ivy from me. Storming away, I walk out of her office and try to sense where Sabrina disappeared to.

"Where are you going? The fun was just getting started." Ivy calls out to me, but I just ignore her. I don't want to deal with her right now.

I attempt to teleport to mine and Sabrina's room, but it's like there's a wall blocking me. I am only able to teleport to right outside of the door. I can't even hit the door to knock!

"Sabrina!" I yell, hoping that she can still hear me.

"What do you want Amaro?" She snaps back at me, indicating that she can hear me. I sigh and respond calmly

"I want to explain to you what you saw. Will you let me in?"

"No!" Sabrina screams "I know what I saw, so just stay away from me! You and Ivy both!"

"Please, Sabrina, just hear me out! I swear I am not lying to you, I didn't kiss Ivy." I reply, but to no avail. There isn't a response. She shut me out. I feel a wall going up around her like armor, blocking our bond. There might only be one person that could help me speak to Sabrina, but I know that I am not going to like asking for their help.

This is going to go horribly.

Saber's POV

I hate Ivy and Amaro, they are constantly doing all they can to keep me away from Sabrina. It physically hurts the longer I am away from her, and I know she slightly feels the same way that I do when it comes to this. Amaro is too idiotic, he doesn't understand that connection mates need to be around each other. Our connection is growing slowly stronger since we are in contact again, and so the pain increases. The stronger the connection, the more it hurts when we are apart.

I pace along the floor of my bedroom, pondering what my options are, if I even have any to start with. Suddenly, I hear a sharp knock on my door. Walking over and opening the door cautiously, I see that it is Amaro at my door.

"What do you want?" I sneer at him, not wanting to deal with him trying to get me to leave Sabrina behind or something ridiculous like that.

"I want to ask for your assistance." Amaro starts, but I don't want to hear any more. I try to slam the door in his face, but he stops it almost immediately. I sharply glare at him, trying to force the door closed as he smiles pleasantly at me. "It's about Sabrina." He says, and immediately my eyes widen as I stop trying to close my bedroom door.

"What about her? Is she okay? Does she need help with anything? What happened?" I question. I need to know what's wrong with Sabrina.

"She's fine, she doesn't need help with anything as far as I know, I just need your help to convince her to let me into her room." Amaro calmly explains.

"What?!" I exclaim

Author's Note:
Hey kittens! The weather SUCKED today (at least for me). This morning, I was cold (I get cold easily, so it was worse for me) and I had PE in school, so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy PE because I'd be too cold. But, by the time I had PE in the afternoon, it was really warm. It was HORRIBLE! I ended up getting a massive headache that I'm pretty sure was actually a migraine, which is always fun (sarcasm).

I hope your weather was better than mine, and not all over the place. It sucks when it's volatile like this. But wow, a bit of a crazy chapter!
