Ivy's POV

I wake up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep. I'm too restless. Knowing that Nia - no, Sabrina - will be awake, I go on the search for her so maybe we can hang out. Following her scent, I end up in the village that's being constructed in the mountain. I hear her laughter coming up from a lower level, along with a boy's laughter. I don't understand her recent attention to boys. They are useless.

I quickly make my way down to the level that she is on, and see her laughing with Amaro, the leader of the Dark Warriors. Why would he be acting so childish, and why with N-Sabrina? Are they... interested in each other? I decide to wait for Sabrina back upstairs, where I can confront her without Amaro butting in.

This is unacceptable and ridiculous. Sabrina needs to get her act straight and be a proper ruler. What kind of queen is nocturnal anyway?

I wait for a few minutes and they soon come upstairs, laughing and smiling at each other. I grab Sabrina's arm as she passes me and I snarl at Amaro, who immediately turns around when her hand is yanked from his grasp.

"I need to borrow my sister, if that's alright." He glares at me and looks at Sabrina, his hard gaze softening immediately. He hides it straight away, but I saw it.

"I will go if she wants me to." He declares, indicating to her.

"It's fine, Amaro. I'll meet you in the kitchen. Go ahead, you know how fast I am." She smirks, and he glares at her, but with amusement shining in his eyes and his mouth twitching up into a smirk. He sends a scowl my way and storms off towards the kitchen. Sabrina yanks her arm out of my grasp and whirs around to look at me.

"What do you want? Why are you even awake?" She snaps at me

"I couldn't sleep so I wanted to hang out with you when I saw you flirting with Amaro! What's up with that? Why are you flirting with every man in the castle?" I question in an irritated tone. Her fists clench by her sides and her eyes start to darken as Darkness dances in them, clouding the bright blue-green color with a cloud of black.

"I'm not flirting with Amaro! We're just friends having a good time while we're working. Friends might be an unknown concept to you, since you're so heartless and think everyone except Cora is scum only worthy of being crushed under your foot. I can actually get along with people and not be cold all the time!" She roars at me. I growl and reply

"I treat people with the amount of respect they deserve, and men deserve none! They are all jerks who think they're superior and want to control us. I don't need a man to complete me, and neither do you." Sabrina rolls her eyes

"I know I don't, I just want some friends! I'm not necessarily looking for a boyfriend so soon, not after you killed my other one not long ago. His blood is still an obvious stain in the throne room! But, who runs a kingdom?" She asks

"A King and Queen." I answer

"Exactly! A King and Queen! They help each other run their kingdom together." She stares matter-of-factly. This time, I roll my eyes

"Only weak Queens need a King with them to rule over their kingdom efficiently."

"Our real parents, the Queen and King of Gato Reino, run a kingdom well together."

"Exactly. They're weak. I can't wait until we get to kill them and one of us takes over their throne."

"Yeah, getting revenge for abandoning us and splitting us up will be fun, but that's not the point. The point is you're just being ridiculous. I can be friends with Amaro if I want. I don't want anything more, and I doubt that he does." Sabrina turns around and starts to walk off. I snap at her
