Sabrina's POV
I can't focus. It's like everything is just noise or a blur of colors. Nothing registers in my mind. I hear words but they just go in one ear and fly out the other as I stare blankly forward. My whole body is like a statue, frozen in a sitting position. My mind is shut down, it's asleep. Only one thing can fully wake it up. Only he can.
"Sabrina!" Ivy yells at me to get my attention. I briefly shake my head to try and get rid of the fog that's clouding my mind. It goes, but I know it's only temporary. I haven't seen or talked to Saber in two weeks. I can feel his presence in the castle, and it hurts me to know he is here, but I am not seeing him.
"What?" I sigh and ask, losing focus again. The only thing my mind can fully focus on is Saber, and my strange desire to see him.
"Sabrina, are you even listening?" Ivy says to me. I full guiltily, realizing I zoned out when she was talking. Again. Sighing more, I reply
"Sorry Ivy, I just can't focus. Maybe I should see him, just for a couple minutes. We don't have to talk, I could just..."
"No, Sabrina." Ivy snaps, cutting me off "He doesn't want to see you. You need to get your head on straight."
"Okay." I pout slightly "What were you saying to me?"
"I was saying that we should help build the village today. Working will help your brain focus on something, on the task that you need to do." Ivy states calmly, but I can see the irritation in her eyes and stiff body language.
"Sounds good. Let's go." I agree, smiling to myself. I know this castle like the back of my hand, and I can somehow feel exactly where Saber is in the castle. Going down to the village is going to help my focus greatly.
I look over at Ivy and smile wickedly, challenging her "I'll race you to the village. The winner gets a prize."
"What sort of prize does the winner get?" Ivy asks, looking mischievous
"A winner? What are you girls talking about?" Amaro suddenly appears and says
"We're going to race down to the village. The winner gets a prize." I briefly explain, walking to him with a smile and enveloping him in a hug.
"Okay, so what is the prize?" Amaro wonders.
"How about the winner gets to kiss Amaro." Ivy suggests, making me very angry. Why does she want to kiss MY Amaro?
I growl at her and hug Amaro tighter, shaking my head in disagreement.
"My Amaro." I mumble under my breath. Amaro lightly chuckles and hugs me back, whispering in my ear.
"I still need to catch you, and I know you'll win the race anyway. Just go with it. You know it won't mean anything, she's just trying to get under your skin." I sigh and very reluctantly agree
"Fine Ivy, that will be the prize for the winner."
"But no cheating." Ivy adds. Amaro and I just look at her, puzzled. "Hey, I've read The Tiger's Saga. I'm not letting anything unfair happen, like tripping or something. Then again, this isn't like Ren and Kishan's rivalry." Ivy finishes there, but I swear I heard her mumble incoherently under her breath "He only likes you."
"I didn't even think of cheating, but okay." I say, shrugging.
"I'm going to join in." Amaro suddenly tells us. "My prize is going to be is I get to get one thing from each of you, whether it's a task I want you to do or an object. I can also use it whenever I want."
