Chapter 7

I helped Luke get ready for his little guys get together,
"So Katie, will you be joining us tonight?"
I really didn't want my first night to be a drunken one, so I had arranged to meet my friend Jacob for mates night. I had been friends with him for 3 years and he was my best friend, nothing like that only friends.
"In sorry Luke but it's just going to be you and the guys tonight, I have plans. Try not leave the house in too much mess for me coming home tomorrow" Plans, who did she have plans with, not that it matters I'm not her keeper
"Ok, we will try and keep it civil, but I can't promise anything hahaha"
I went upstairs and collected my overnight bag,
"That's me leaving to go to Jacobs now, see you tomorrow and y'all have fun"
I ran out the door and Luke followed me,
"Jacob?" He asked inquisitively
"Yeah Jacob, see ya"
I jumped into my truck and as I looked in my rear view I saw Luke run his fingers through his hair. I didn't mean to mess with him but the opportunity was there so I grabbed it with both hands.

Michael was first to arrive he brought some of his homemade brew, This could get messy. The next to arrive was Jason and Blake, followed by my band guys and some guys from my crew.
"So where is this hot maid you have Lukey boy" shouted Michael.
"She has plans with Jacob" I said sadly
"Oh the old Luke charm not working on this one" that statement annoyed me
"Shut up Carter I told you an not interested in her" that's what I keep telling myself but that's the way it needs to be.
The pre show was well under way and so was my party. I kept thinking about Katie and that surge of electricity that surged through us everytime we touched. I just smiled into my self. Black Mike turned up late and he brought a few girls with him, which was ok with me. The night continued and we had had loads to drink the Patriots had won the Super Bowl and I was beyond wasted, I headed up to bed and opened my room room to find one of the girls Black Mike had brought laying on my bed half naked. I immediately thought of Katie I don't know why but then I thought about what here and Jacob were doing, so I entered the room, closed the door and you know what happened next ..............
