Chapter 45

6 months later
The time had come for Luke to be going back on the road, he was heading down to Mexico for his Crash my Playa 4 day concert. I was joining him as it coincided with my birthday and Bo was going to him Meemaws which was going to be hard for both of us because this would be the first time we would be apart from him. The past 6 months have been full of ups and downs but mostly ups. Luke is a fantastic daddy he really grasped the whole share care thing with both hands. Bo is definitely a daddy's boy but he loves late night cuddles with his mama.
"Baby have you packed everything you need for the trip" I asked Luke, sometimes he was more work than Bo,
"Yeah I'm pretty sure I have can you just double check I have put in enough allergy medicine"
In other words he hadn't a clue where it was and I was to find it. I went upstairs and I could hear Luke talking to Bo,
"Hey daddy's little hunter, are you gonna be a good boy for Meemaw" I could hear Bo gurgle and I knew he was flashing that killer smile just like his daddy,
"Mama and me are gonna miss you like crazy, but mama will be back in 5 days, can you count, 1...2...3...4....5" I looked in and saw him counting using his little hands.
"I can't wait till he starts talking" Luke said as I entered the room. I went up and hugged him.
"Me neither no doubt his first word will be Buck with the amount of times you talk to him about deer." Luke laughed and kissed the top of my head. He lifted Bo out of his crib and said,
"Come on little man let me and your mama take you to Meemaws where your gonna have so much fun with your cousins"
We loaded up the truck and set out on the 20 minute drive to LeClaires. You never realise how much baby stuff you need until you take a road trip.
We arrived 2o minutes later and I took Bo inside while Luke unloaded the car,
"Oh hello my little man" LeClaire said,
Bo was all smiles he did live his Meemaw, which was making me feel better about leaving him.
"Hi mama, Luke is just grabbing his stuff"
She gave me a hug,
"Hi honey you look great"
"Thank you"
We went inside for for a couple of hours and it was now time to leave. I lifted Bo up and gave him the tight hug,
"Be good for Meemaw and mama and daddy will see you soon"
Luke said his goodbyes as well, he won't see him for 2 months which I know is gonna be so hard on him.
We got into the truck and headed home and that's when the tears began to flow,
"Oh baby don't cry he is gonna be well looked after" Luke said as he held my hand,
"I know baby but he is just so small"
He pulled my hand up and kissed my knuckles,
"I know baby but we need a break just you and I and 25000 fans" he laughed.
"Yeah and I get to get lost in you without worrying"
"Mmmmm now that's something I'm looking forward to"
We headed back home and collected our things.

We were meeting Carter and Caroline at the airport. They were getting along great and Bo loves them both and any problems we had with Caroline  has never been mentioned again which is good because she is actually really nice. I was glad that she was coming because I would have company when Luke was performing.
We closed up the house packed up the taxi and headed to the airport.
