Chapter 71

It had been a great day down here in Florida, just laying on the beach talking and watching the kids play in the sand. I talked to Luke last night and he said he would call me today, I hope he wasn't too drunk last night because he will be suffering today poor baby.
I fixed my self some sweet tea and made my way to the porch for some quiet time before everyone got up. I opened my phone and logged into Twitter, and the first thing that popped up was a TMZ article about Luke

Breaking news, is there trouble brewing for Country's favourite couple. Mystery brunette seen with Luke Bryan.

I screamed and dropped my phone.
Caroline came running through,
"Katie what's wrong is there something wrong with the babies" she said
I was crying uncontrollably and she lifted my phone from the ground and read what I had just read,
"Oh Katie you know what they are like they, it's probably been taken way out of context, Luke would never cheat on you"
"Caroline there are pictures of her leaving the cabin and her kissing his cheek"
I didn't know what to do, my phone started to ring it was Luke,
"Will I answer it" asked Caroline
"No I don't want to speak to him and if he calls you don't answer it I need some time to think"
I could tell Caroline was not happy with not being aloud to answer the phone,
"Ok honey but I really think you need to speak to him,"

Luke's POV

"Who the fuck invited a stripper to a lads weekend, do you realise the shit I am in now."
Hunter looked sheepish,
"It was me buddy, I didn't think she would stay the night"
"Well it's spread all over the tabloids that I'm having an affair, nothing fucking happened. Katie had probably seen this now, she ain't answering my calls, she is fucking pregnant god damn it she don't need this stress. I'm heading down to Florida. Carter can you please try calling Caroline and find out if Katie is ok and explain what happened."
He didn't say anything he just got up put his thumb up and called Caroline.
"Hi Caroline baby how are you" Carter said
"Hi I'm ok, can't say the same for Katie though she has been crying all morning"
"Fuck, Caroline nothing happened, Hunter decided to hire a stripper Luke knew nothing about it, he was being the gentleman that he is and took her home in the morning. Him and me are coming down to sort this out, please X keep her calm and don't say we are coming or she will run"

Katie's POV

"Who was on the phone" I asked Caroline
"Oh it was just my Mother checking up"
"You ain't a good liar Caroline, it was Luke wasn't it"
"No it was Carter, he said what I said that it's been taken out of context"
"Yeah he would stick up for his buddy" I shouted "I'm sorry it's not your fault, it's my asshole of a husbands"
"Katie I think you should speak to him"
"No I have nothing to say"
I headed off along the beach to clear my head. My head was saying run but my heart wanted to hear what he had to say.
