Today I get to go home. I have been here for 3 days now and I am going stir crazy. Luke has been fantastic, making sure the nursery was finished to registering Bo's birth and getting his birth certificate etc. My Mama was coming to stay for a few weeks which was fantastic because it would give me and Luke down alone time. There was a knock at the door, it was LeClaire, Til, Kris and Jordon,
"Hi Katie are you ok for a few visitors, before Luke comes and picks you up."
I smiled,
"It's no problem Mama, it's about time Bo met his older cousins. Y'all not coming to the house?"
"We are heading down to Florida for a few days Luke said we could have to beach house"
"Oh yeah I remember him saying something about that"
Kris said,
"Aunt Katie can I please have a hold of him"
I got up at handed Bo to her,
"He is so like uncle Luke" I laughed,
"He definitely has his appetite" everyone started laughing,
"I don't know where he puts it all, Til is the exact same" said LeClaire,
"So when I that son of mine arriving"
"He said he should be here for 2pm, as he has some errand to do"
We all chatted for a little while and they left about 1pm to catch there flight, I wished we could be going with them but we should get down to Mexico for Luke's spring break show and by that time Bo will be 6 months and will be able to stay at his Meemaws.
I was packing up some of Bo's stuff when I felt familiar arms snake around my waist,
"How's my favourite girl doing" he said as he kissed my hair,
"All the better you are here" I said as I leaned into him. He hugged me tighter, and just at that Bo began to wimped,
"Hey buddy, are you hungry" Luke said as he picked him up ,
"Whoa little man, think we need to change your diaper" Luke put him on the changing mat and changed him. He was so delicate and he looked as if he had been doing this his whole life,
"There you go little man all clean"
We got checked out the hospital and headed to Luke's truck, he clipped in the baby seat and we headed home. He held my hand all the way and I felt like the most important person in the world.
We pulled into the driveway and Luke jumped out and opened my door, such the southern gentleman. He then got Bo out and we walked up to the porch. He opened the door and the place was cover in my favourite flowers and a big banner that said welcome home baby. I turned and gave him a kiss and a cuddle.
"You Mr Bryan are the best husband and daddy anyone could ever wish for"
