After Jacob and I finished breakfast and I calmed down about the fact I was gonna be a mama, we headed back home. We turned the corner and I was met by Luke's truck. I stopped immediately, "Jees Katie, are you trying to kill me, what the hell was that all about" I pointed to the driveway, "Luke's truck is in the drive, what am I going to say to him" He put his hand on my knee and said, "Katie y'all gonna have to speak to him and tell him, he drove down here because he clearly loves you and kisses you. We will go in because I can see by the look on your face that you are dying to see him" I smiled because I knew he was right, "Like you would never believe. Thank you Jacob, but everything's going to be ok ain't it" "I bet my life on it honey" I pulled my truck up behind Luke's on the driveway and we got out and walked up to the front porch. My Mama came to the door and said, "Y'all have a visitor Katie that gorgeous country man himself" I smiled and ran past her into the living room and there he was the love of my life. "OMG baby what cha doing here. I told you I would be back tomorrow" I gave me the tightest hug and said, "Baby I couldn't be at home one more second without you, that house ain't the same" I started to cry, "Hush baby why you crying" I didn't want to tell him now so I said, "I missed you too. How about you and me take a walk down to the creek I have a surprise for you, well I hope it's a surprise" He looked at me lovingly, "Baby I would love anything you have me" he said as he kissed me. Well I hope he loves this one. I told Mama and Jacob we were going for a walk and would be home for supper, Jacob squeezed my hand and said "good luck". After Jacob and I left the diner I went into a stationary shop and got a pen box and sine ribbon. I wrapped the pregnancy kit up planning to give it to Luke when I got home, but the plans were brought forward a little. Luke and I walked hand in hand down to the creek in silence, enjoying one another's company but deep down I was scared as hell, "Baby what's up, your hands are all sweaty and your shaking, are y'all still ill" We reached the creek and sat down on the grass, "I don't know how to say this Luke, so in just going to give you this and see how it goes" I handed him the box and he opened it,

He looked at the box and then at me and back at the box, I couldn't read him so I said, "Baby I'm so sorry I understand if you don't wanna be with me" He interrupted me by kissing me, "Omg I'm gonna be a daddy, why are you apologising, this is the best news I have ever had even better than my album going platinum. I love you to the moon and back. Come let's tell your Mama, hell I wanna shout it from the roof tops" I was so relieved he was happy, "I love you to baby you are going to be a great daddy" "And you will be a fantastic mama" We got up and headed back to the house to tell Mama the good news, I just wish my daddy was still alive to see his firstly grandbaby. We got into the house and I called Mama, "Luke and I have some good news, y'all gonna be a grandmother" She put her hand up to her mouth and started to cry and pulled us both into a hug. I turned round and Luke had dropped down on one knee, "Katie from the first moment I saw you, I knew that I would spend the rest of my life with you. You are the ying to my yang the cream in my coffee. Will you do me the absolute honor in being my wife" The tears were streaming down my face. "Yes yes yes baby a thousand times yes" OMG we are engaged in gonna be Mrs Luke Bryan and having a baby.
