Maybe that's why it was so hard to believe

When you smiled and said to me

"Are you gonna kiss me or not?

“I’LL SAVE YOU!” I grinned as he ran towards me, pulling me along, away from James. 

“Sly stop-” As I started to say it, he tripped, and pulled me down with him. The guys roared with laughter, but I only had eyes for him. He was staring at me, slightly scared that I was about to murder him, or he had done something wrong. I leaned close, putting my lips by his ears.

“Are you going to kiss me or not?”  Eddie’s face flushed, and he pushed me off of him. I rolled away, putting on a relaxed, composed face, but inside, I was screaming, my heart clenching. I liked him, more then I should. Why did I even say it?

Are we gonna do this or what?

I think you know I like you a lot

But you're 'bout to miss your shot

Are you gonna kiss me or not?"

“Aleks you alright?” I heard his sweet voice, and ignored him. “Aleks?” A warm hand was put on my shoulder. I almost shrugged it off, but his grip showed he wasn’t going to let me shake him off.

“Yeah I’m fine. What’s up?” I spun around, and he looked me in the eye. We gazed at each other for a couple minutes.

“What did you say at the park again?” I blushed.

“Are you going to kiss me or not?” Eddie’s face stretched into a grin, and he leaned closer. 

“Yes.” I had to admit, besides one other kiss, that was my favorite.  We pulled away, and he rested his forehead on mine, my arms wrapped around his neck. 

“Want to go out with me?” I grinned. 

“Why not?” Our lips met again, moving more in sync then the first. He bit my lips, trying to move it along, but I refused. Only when he pinched my sides, I let him in. 

It was the best dang kiss that I ever had

Except for that long one after that

Yeah baby, I love you a lot

I really think we've got a shot

Are you gonna kiss me or not?

I miss him now, he’s been gone a while, but I at least have the promise he will come back. I turned my hand over, and smiled at the small ring on my left hand.
