Enderlox

Ever since I could remember,

Everything inside of me,

Just wanted to fit in

I was never one for pretenders,

Everything I tried to be,

Just wouldn't settle in

Ty ignored the stares as he walked into the school, his headphones up over his ears. He didn’t need to hear to know they were all whispering about him. He looked down, letting his hair cover his eyes. Kill them all. The voice said, anger flooding his system. Ty gritted his teeth, and slowly walked up to his friends, trying to force down the surge of anger.

“Hey Ty!” Adam said brightly. Ty nodded, and slipped into his seat. The guys all sent him concerned looks, but he slumped deeper into his seat. He would never fit in here, no matter how hard the guys did try.

If I told you what I was,

Would you turn your back on me?

And if I seem dangerous,

Would you be scared?

I get the feeling just because,

Everything I touch isn't dark enough

If this problem lies in me

Ty groaned as the pain returned. His back felt like thousands of nails were being dragged across his skin. He stumbled, catching himself on the sink. His eyes flashed a familiar purple, and he cried out at the sound of his skin ripping. He pulled off his shirt, and frantically scanned it. Black spots were growing, staining his pale skin black, scales growing along with the black. Ty cursed, and cried out again as the ripping sound continued. He fell to the ground, and curled into the fetal position. Why was he still alive? His friends would shy away at the sight of his true form. He screamed again as pain wracked the small and lithe frame. He gripped his head, feeling his fingers elongate and his nails become razor sharp. He always assumed he was just emo, but no, it was him slowly clawing his way to the surface.

I'm only a man with a candle to guide me,

I'm taking a stand to escape what's inside me.

A monster, a monster,

I've turned into a monster,

A monster, a monster,

And it keeps getting stronger.

The lights were out, and Ty sighed, lighting a candle. His reflection glared back at him, like it wanted him to burn up. Purple eyes, black scales slowly crawling up the sides of his face, trying to encase the once pale skin in black. His hair was slowly falling out, and a set of dragon wings stuck out of his back.

Kill them, they don’t deserve to live. Ty stared down at his friends as they camped in the woods. Laughter echoed up to his sensitive ears, and he growled low in his throat. His wings beat silently at the air. He gritted his teeth. NO! The wings disappeared in a flash, and suddenly he was falling. His reflexes kicked in, and he grabbed onto a branch, almost ripping his arms out of their sockets. He gripped the branch, and stared at the yellow light. Six figures stood with their backs to the fire, searching the woods for the cause of the noise. He hauled himself up onto the branch silently, and crouched there. It clawed at his insides, trying to get out, and release his anger. Ty clenched his fists, and closed his red eyes. When he opened them, a spark of purple glimmered deep in the iris.
