YOUR POV

I got home with Kyo and we saw the boys in the living room doing homework or watching a movie. They stopped when they noticed us and we told them what happened. They all seemed upset and I saw Ryouta start to cry.

I hugged him close while tears gathered in my own eyes. I took a deep, shaky breath before we all decided to go to sleep.

That night I woke up to feel Kyo thrashing around in his sleep. I looked over and saw he had a sad look on his face while some of his long, brown hair clung to his forehead by a layer of sweat.

"Kyo. Kyo Honey, wake up," I said while shaking him. His eyes snapped open and he sat up before going outside to our balcony. I followed him and hugged him as we both leaned on the railing.

"I can't believe he's really gone," Kyo whispered.

"I know Honey. It's terrible. But he was ninety-seven and had heart troubles since his late forty's. We couldn't really do anything about it."

"I wish I knew him longer," he sighed.

"I know. So do I." I hugged him tighter and he buried his face in my hair.

"I know he told me one thing when I first started getting to know him better," Kyo said.

"And that was?"

"He swore up and down he would never ever be buried in a suit. He hated wearing them so that's why he found a job where he didn't have to wear one. I asked him what he wanted to be buried in and you know what he said?"

"Hmm?"

"A unicorn onesie." We both chuckled and looked up at the stars.

"He certainly was a character."

"More like a whole cartoon." I smiled and leaned into Kyo.

"I know the boys are taking this hard. The looks on their faces when we told them just broke my heart."

"He'd want us to be remembering the fond moments with him."

"Yeah. I remember how he always always have Ryouta an apple and Atsushi sweets."

"He gave one child healthy food and the other junk," Kyo smiled.

"I remember going to the store with him and Daiki one day when Daiki was in middle school and we ran into someone he knew. Daiki started flirting with the granddaughter and Mr. Fujioka was encouraging him."

"Sounds like him. He was the one who encouraged me to finally propose to you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. He told me 'Kyo. Either man up and ask her to be your wife or cry when she leaves you for someone else.'"

"Who would I have left you for?"

"That's what I asked him and you know what he said? He told me he'd go after you himself if I didn't do anything. So I did something, and I will always thank him for the blessing I received five months later."

I kissed him lightly before yawning.

"Come on. We both have work tomorrow and the boys have a game the day after."

"Who is it again?"

"Tetsuya and Shin."

"This oughta be interesting." We went back to sleep and I woke up that morning to find Kyo still asleep. I noticed that he looked a lot more peaceful than earlier last night and I smiled.

I left the room and got ready before making breakfast for everyone. I have an earlier shift this morning so I have to leave soon.

The boys came down in their uniforms with regular school bags in one hand, and gym bags in the other. I put plates on the table and Kyo soon came down. I gave him a quick kiss and told the boys goodbye before grabbing a granola bar and a water and leaving the house.

I took my keys from my purse and connected my phone to my Bluetooth. I started the car and started to work before receiving a call.

"Hello?"

"Hello Mrs. Suoh. I work for the law firm Mr. Fujioka was familiar with. I heard about his recent passing and I'm so sorry. We are hoping to get his lawyer to sit down and talk with you about his will."

"Shouldn't that be discussed with his family?"

"It would but he cut his family from the will. He had a harsh falling out with them almost ten years ago. He never told you?"

"I don't believe so. When would you like to sit down with us?"

"This weekend would be great."

"Well two of my sons have a basketball game, but I think we can meet up after if that is alright?"

"Sounds perfect. His lawyer has plans around the morning and noon anyways. I'll see you in a couple days. Have a nice day."

"You too."

I hung up and pulled into the parking lot. I stopped the car and sighed while leaning my head in the steering wheel.

"How come he never told us about his family?" I asked myself. I got out of the car and walked inside before starting the day of work.
