POV: Rosaline
I woke up with a start, jerking awake from a nightmare. I dreamed of Lillian standing over me with a knife, tracing the tip along my jawline and chin while whispering to herself.
She's my little sister, but she scares the life out of me.
I decided today I would go retrieve the water. I put my cloak on and set out into the early morning sun.
---------------------
After trekking through the forest on the path I always take, I was relieved to find the clearing empty. I filled my bucket to the brim with river water and started to set on my way. Then I smelled something awful, like dead animal. I looked around for the source of the smell and saw a body laying a few yards away. I slowly walked up to it and the closer I got, the more it looked like a person. When I reached the body I found out it was a person; the boy Lillian was with.
The skin around his eyes had sunken in and his dark hair had mud and dirt scattered throughout. Flys buzzed around the huge hole in his chest. Lillian had to do this, but why? I picked the boy up and dropped him off outside the forest because I didn't know who his parents were. Hopefully he would receive a proper burial. I snapped my fingers and appeared outside my home.Didn't know I could do that.
---------------------
I added the river water to my potion and prayed it would work. I filled a vial with it and drank it as soon as the potion was done. I ran to the mirror with excitement and hope.
I watched in amazement as the green slowly receded from my face, revealing smooth, tan skin. My eyes turned from black holes to burning blue galaxies, my claws receded and nails took their place. My hooves slowly changed to feet, and I wiggled my toes in joy. I was Rosaline again.Time to go pay a visit to the castle.
