Author's Note: akala ko di ko masusulat to ngayon but.... surprise!! I got inspired when I woke up bcos I received a lot of love from yesterday's update.

Anyway, people have been thanking me for updating bcos apparently there's a WP blackout?? Hindi ako aware dun but it's saddening to see that some stories in my library are included sa blackout :( if you're one of them (which i doubt na may mga writers na nagbabasa nito-except ate carla, of course), I hope everything turns out okay!! 💛💛

if you're having a bad day, i'm only a message/tweet away. Pls don't hesitate to talk to me.

All the love.

AUGUST 2016

It only took Maine and Alden seven minutes to compose themselves before they left the Faulkersons Residence.

When she asked Alden where they were headed to, she received nothing but a small smile. Alden took a turn, and then stopped in front of the cemetery.

To say that Maine was baffled was an understatement. It was beyond that. She was speechless and she did not know what to say. She remained silent as both of them stared ahead.

"Anong ginagawa natin dito?" she asked in a small voice.

"I haven't been here for almost half a year," he announced, not exactly answering what she had asked. "The last time I was here, parang ganito na naman 'yung eksena. Pero noon, birthday ko. At ayokong bumalik sa metro, so I stayed here."

"You spent your birthday here?" Maine asked. "Bakit nama-oh, wait. Are we allowed to ask questions now?"

Alden smiled a little. "I did," he said, not answering Maine's last question. "Pinilit ako nila Dad na kausapin si RD through Facetime. Birthday ko naman daw, pagbigyan ko daw sila. Nakakatawa nga eh," he let out a small chuckle. "Hindi ba't ako 'yung may birthday? Di ba dapat ako 'yung pagbibigyan?"

Maine remained silent.

"At ito," he continued. "Nangyari na naman. Kaya kay Mama na lang ako magsusumbong. Kahit naman ganun 'yung nangyari noon, she's still my mom. She still understands me." Maine only nodded.

"Kahit na galit pa rin ako," he said. "Kahit na hindi ko pa rin maintindihan 'yung ginawa niya. Sa kanya pa rin ako nagsusumbong."

"B-bakit?" Maine hesitated to ask.

Alden chuckled, "Kung hindi sa kanya? Kanino?"

Maine remained silent.

"Kay Riz? Sus, kapatid rin niya si RD. Walang kakampihan 'yun. At least kapag kay Mama, hindi siya makakasagot. 'Di niya ako mapapagalitan," he explained. "Ayokong magsabi kay Jen. She uses my weaknesses against me. Ginagamit niya ako para mapasunod niya ako sa gusto niya."

"Wala ka bang best friend?" Maine asked.

Alden shook his head. "I don't attach myself to people. I barely call my 'friends' as friends. Parang acquaintances lang, ganun."

"So, we're acquaintances?" Maine joked.

"We're partners," he corrected. "Iba 'yun. Hindi friends, hindi acquaintances."

"Ouch," she pouted. "Na-partnerzone ako kay Alden Richards."

"Tara na nga," he said, unlocking the door and sliding out of the car. Maine did the same.

As usual, he led the way to where they should go. Maine silently followed behind him.

"I didn't get to buy flowers," he said suddenly as they came into a stop. "Hi, Ma. Ako ulit. Ang sensitive mong anak. Magsusumbong ulit ako."
