Its finally May 14th the day Scotty and I have both been anxiously waiting for since the first day of school. In just a few short hours we will be walking across the stage becoming high school graduate's.
Scotty's POV
"Its almost 5:30 Summer we need to leave in 15 minutes hurry up" I yelled into the bathroom. "Scott I'm going as fast as I can. Why do I even have to go its to early for this" she complained waddling from the bathroom. "Its going to take less than an hour and do you really want to be that person to not know what to do when you walk across the stage?" " OK you have a point but its not really fair to drag a me out of bed at 5 in the morning for a stupid practice." "Your very right sweetheart but if your out in the truck in 5 minutes then we can go get miss grumpy pants some breakfast." "OK I'm finished and I'm not grumpy I just don't see any point in this"
Summers POV
I grabbed my bag from behind the door and walked down the stairs. I'm almost 8 months pregnant and I look like im only 6 but feel like I'm 24 months along. Its been a long couple of months but its been well worth it. This has been one hell of a year in the next 3 months we will have completed high school had two amazing little babies and gotten married. I honestly couldn't imagine anything else and wouldn't want it any other way.
Walking to the front door Scotty already had the truck pulled up to the front of the house and waiting for me at the door. After helping me into the truck we made our usual route to the school stopping at you got that right bojangles for breakfast. I looked at my food and just pushed it around for a few minutes. " What's wrong sweetheart? Are you nervous about walking the stage?" Scotty asked while laying his hand on my leg. "No I'm just thinking" I said while picking at my bo berry biscuit. "What about? Your not thinking about calling off the wedding are you???" He looked petrified "no of course not Scotty I would never! I'm just thinking about the next couple of months we have planned out we have so much to do in such little time I'm stressing out about it all." I instantly saw him relax a bit. He pulled into a parking spot at the front of the school and grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes with his crystal blue eyes. "Summer I promise everything will be ok. I actually have a little surprise for you after graduation tonight." I took a few bites of my breakfast while Scotty got out of the truck to help me out from my side. We went into the gym where all of our classmates huddled around in there little groups. Everyone still in their PJs because honestly it was way to early to even be here. The principal came in and started telling us all the stuff we needed to know.
AFTER PRACTICE
Scotty and I walked back to the truck its barley 8 o'clock at this point. We got back in the truck and headed home. "Scotty can I go back to sleep when we get home" I asked while curling up in my seat. "Uh ya just remember we have to be back at the school by 1:30" he said while moving my hair out of my face. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up in bed having some really bad cramps. "SCOTTY!!!" I yelled as I curled into a ball grabbing my knees in pain. Scotty and Mrs. Judy came running into my room "Summer what's wrong?" Mrs. Judy asked coming to my side. "Mmmmm... My stomach" I could barley speak. Scotty got behind and started rubbing my back. Mrs. Juby kept asking me questions about the cramps I was getting. "ok Summer I don't think your in labor yet your just having some braxton hicks" she said while rubbing my stomach. "He baby girl wanna try sitting up its almost noon and we have to start getting ready" he said sitting up on the side of the bed. "Yea I think I'm fine now" I sat up slowly and started walking to the closet. I found the dress I bought a few weeks ago its a beautiful blue/green color I slipped the dress on curled my hair and grabbed my cap and gown off the back of the closet door. I went down stairs to see Scotty already in his suit and man did he look GOOD! After a few pictures we headed back to the school for the graduation. After a long 2 hours the moment we were all waiting for finally happened. "I'm glad to finally announce the graduating class of 2012" the principal said into the mic with a huge smile. All of the graduates threw their caps into the air with huge smiles across our faces. We filed out of the gym and I quickly found Scotty in the croud of people. We found his parents and our friends and went out to eat to celebrate.
At the restaurant
Scotty made reservations at a really nice restaurant for us tonight. I gotta admit I was really nervous about walking the stage I swore I would be the one to trip going across but surprisingly I made it without any trouble. Scotty stood up and started tapping on his glass with a spoon. "I would like to make a toast, not only to all of my friends who I was able to walk the stage with tonight but also my amazing fiancé. I never thought this year would turn out the way it did but I'm so glad it did. Today was a huge step for everyone here but hopefully its not the last one. Summer this morning I told you I had a surprise for you and I'm ready to show you what it is....."
